Enjoy a stay in one of our beautiful rooms at the Blue Bear Inn, a cozy New England retreat where rustic charm meets modern comfort. Nestled on 54 scenic acres, the inn offers a peaceful escape with walking trails, inviting common spaces, and warm hospitality.

Located on the first floor of our East Wing, this spacious and inviting room features a comfortable queen bed and a pullout couch, making it a great option for families or guests needing a little extra space. With its own private entrance leading directly outside, it offers easy access and beautiful mountain views, blending comfort, convenience, and a touch of nature. This is one of our dog friendly rooms. Please note there will be an additional charge for cleaning after your furry friend.

Named for Frederick Adams Prescott, who transformed this farm into “The Mountain Inn,” The Prescott Room reflects his vision of hospitality and warmth. Prescott saw the potential for this land to become a welcoming retreat for travelers, a legacy that lives on today.

Guests can unwind in the shared common room, complete with a working fireplace for cooler months, as well as games, books, and a TV for relaxed evenings. For those working remotely, the inn provides reliable WiFi so you can stay connected while enjoying the tranquil surroundings.
Our full-service restaurant and tavern, open Thursday through Sunday, features chef-crafted seasonal dishes and handcrafted cocktails, making it the perfect spot to gather and savor delicious meals. In the warmer months, take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool or sip your morning coffee on the deck, soaking in the beautiful mountain views.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love our prime location—just a 3-minute drive to Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride for winter adventures and 5 minutes from Crotched Mountain Golf Club for a stunning day on the greens. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, an outdoor adventure, or simply to relax, the Blue Bear Inn is your perfect home away from home.

We both have a deep love for hospitality, great food, and the outdoors. When we’re not welcoming guests, you’ll find us exploring the beautiful 54-acre property, enjoying a great meal, or hanging out with our Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Baloo and our Maine Coon, Yali.
