Discover the ultimate escape at the Yellow Door Cottage! This laid-back, modern shotgun-style getaway offers an open living area with new double reclining sofa, fully stocked kitchen, two full bathrooms with tub/shower combos and one cozy bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed and office area. Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms for a peaceful night's sleep. The second bedroom has a full size bed and sitting area, while the 3rd bedroom has two twin beds. The second bath is right at the bottom of the stairs and beside the spacious laundry room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials, including a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge. We even provide a coffee grinder and beans for your morning brew. The kitchen is open to the living area for a connected space for meals and games! There is a cabinet loaded with games, cards, puzzles and coloring books. We include pamphlets and information on local eats and attractions!

The best part? We're just a short 12-mile drive from the breathtaking Red River Gorge, making it the perfect home base for your adventures. So, come on over, and let the Yellow Door Cottage be your cozy retreat for the season!

The house was a perfect size for our family of 6 adults and one medium sized dog to relax and play games after hiking at the nearby Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, and kitchen supplies. We even found an extension cord to use because we forgot ours. The privacy patio out back is very nice for cookouts and relaxing around the fire pit. Connie was very friendly, easy to contact, responded quickly to our questions and even provided snacks. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would rent here again.

We really enjoyed our stay! This cute home had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and we loved the back patio. This home was perfect for our stay. The house was stocked beautifully with more towels than needed. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. I’m from Winchester, Ky. I’m the owner of the Yellow Door Cottage just 30 minutes from our home where my husband and I live and he manages a large cattle operation. We love owning the YDC and enjoy hearing from our guests and making their experiences great! We have 2 sons and they gave us 2 beautiful daughters in love and 6 sweet grandchildren! They are the love of our lives! We love to travel as well and I’m constantly planning a new trip! We get it! We stay in short term rentals regularly and are always learning and finding ways to improve the guests’ experience. Can’t wait to host you!

We love the proximity to all the Red River Gorge has to offer and the convenience of shopping and food nearby! Stanton is a bit like Mayberry. Quiet and friendly and just the perfect spot for a fun family trip! Plus in bad weather our streets are always cleared.
