The home and experience was beyond my best expectations. Aaron is an amazing host. Aaron checked in things daily and made sure I knew staff was available for any concerns!!!!100 stars
Just the perfect distance away from all the attractions. Stayed for 6 days and went to the zoo (amazing) , children's museum twice (it's huge), and the State museum (unexpectedly fun for kids and adults). House was funky and older but comfortable and kept the kids entertained. Kid's and parents loved the hot tub and waking up to horses grazing in the pasture was so amazing. Only negatives were we had some plumbing issues with showers but the host was very responsive and thoughtful. Also I wish there were power outlets by the head of the beds for electronics. I had to plug chargers in on the other side of the room. Other than that it was an amazing vacation and so relaxing!
The property met my expectations for cleanliness, cost, and ample space (since those were the highest on my priority list) The other items were over and above. The decor was really cool! The game room and the fire pit were definitely nice to have. We didn’t use the hot tub, but if we were staying longer than one night I’m sure we would have loved it.
Check in was super easy and the kitchen facilities served our needs. We loved spending the night here before spending the day at the Indiana Stare Fair!
Pictures could use updating to show games that are no longer in the game room or in use as that was a main reason we chose this place. Hot tub also needed addressed upon arrival but owners did respond and come clean. TV in main room did not have working remote so we could not use that as needed. We also did not have very much hot water for more than one person to shower daily. Price was nearly doubled due to events in Indianapolis and I do not feel it was worth the price we paid. The area iseasy access and was convenient for getting to downtown each day.
I really wanted to love this property, but the sheer number of issues made it impossible. Upon arrival, the house was visibly filthy; the floors were so dirty that I had to put my shoes back on and message the host for a broom. We found dust bunnies in every room, dead bugs in the corners and kitchen light fixtures, and a refrigerator stocked with dirty plasticware and open condiments. The lack of maintenance continued outdoors with knee-high weeds on the patio and bird droppings covering the tables. To top it off, we discovered a leak from the back shower into the basement on our final day. Seeing visible mouse bait traps in the closets and kitchen was the final straw. For the price we paid, the lack of basic upkeep and oversight is completely unacceptable.
We absolutely loved this property! As soon as we walked in the Retro Ranch house I was in love. The decor was amazing! We plan to bring our kids back sometime! We love country life so this location was special to us!

Truly some of the best guests we ever had! Katy is incredibly kind, communicative, and understanding. Any host would be lucky to have them. Looking forward to their next stay!
Very cool property. A bit “off the main grid” but that works out perfectly. 20 min drive to where ever we needed to go. But far out enough to feel remote. The decor of the ranch is so fun…. Stepping into a 50s/60s diner/travel hotel/hippie ranch. Waking to the animals, rooster crows and sunshine was like a story book. If ever in this area again, would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at the retro ranch was peaceful and relaxing! The house was charming and perfect for a night in playing games or relaxing in the hot tub. We definitely recommend this property or the other rentals on their farm!
We found ourselves in IND for a bit of snowy weather and had a great two night stay with Aaron. The home is fun and outfitted well. My husband and I appreciated the fenced in yard for our dogs and the generously sized fireplace in the living room. It was a lovely stay and we would recommend!

Host was quick to respond. We had an issue with the oven not working, our host had this taken care of in a very short amount of time. The place was as advertised, had a good stay and enjoyed the location.
We had a great time at the Retro Ranch. The decor was beautiful and very clean. The property felt very secluded despite other properties being close by. Aaron was very responsive and super understanding when a mishap occurred. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy stay.
Host was fine. Amenities were ok. Pinball was inop and foosball table is falling apart. We had 4 kids and they were looking forward to using them. Showers had very low pressure and water has bad iron and Sulpher smell. All beds have sharp frame corners and almost everyone on the party has lower leg bruises from banging into them. While the decorations were very good they need to fix several more important issues. In my opinion not a fair value for the shape it’s in.
Overall the property was beautiful. Lots of games and things to do. The hot tub was pleasant. Host was very nice, responsive, and helped quickly when we accidentally locked ourselves out. One of the main reasons we chose this place was because it was large enough to accommodate our group of 12. Unfortunately the pull out couch was broken and missing the mattress. It was also in the un air-conditioned game room instead of in the 4th bedroom as listed. Thanks so much for letting us stay, we had a great time!
The approach to the property is unassuming but the property itself is delightful. There are a couple of separate buildings on the property and we stayed in the first one, which had a fantastic retro theme. Excellent entertainment options with a game room in the garage, a hot tub in a secluded garden area. Overall the stay was excellent and i thoroughly recommend a stay here to any and all!
My friends and I were looking for a spot close to home, that would allow us all to unplug for a night. One couple has a toddler and this was the first night away without him. It was perfect. We were cost enough that they could relax and feel like they could get home quickly. But they were still able to relax and enjoy some time with friends. We played games, has a bonfire, and enjoyed the hot tub.
