A private and peacefull self-catering apartment, situated in one of the lush suburbs of Knysna. A flight of steps gives you access to an upstairs apartment that overlooks a richly planted garden, with established trees. If you love to be surrounded by nature, you have found the right holiday spot! En-route to the famous Heads of Knysna and also close to Leisure Island. The apartment has become renowned for it's cleanliness, comfort, attention to detail, and beautiful garden, as well as prolific bird life. The Knysna Turaco (Knysna Loerie), is very likely to be seen, and you will also get the opportunity to hand feed the Drongo birds. Bring your camera, relax and enjoy. The kitchen is fully fitted with both electric stove and oven, as well as a gas cooker. Finest linen, and comfy beds provide a great sleep before exploring the surrounds. See elephants, whales, beaches and wildlife within short drives from the apartment. The area is also central to two beautiful golf courses, if that is your sport of choice.

Your host
An artist, and nature lover at heart, I have lived on the Garden Route for over 30 years. In younger times, I worked as a press photographer, and have never lost my love for the camera. I do have the opportunity to photograph beautiful birds and nature, (as will you!), and the apartment has a few of my bird pictures on the walls. I also ran a yacht charter bussiness in Mauritius for 3 years, and love swapping travel experiences with guests. On the other hand, I have a great respect for the privacy of others, and never intrude.

Knysna is a very safe and casual holiday destination. No need for fancy clothes, suits or evening wear. No casinos. No McDonalds. No Nando's. That's why we live here! Forest and nature is the main attraction of the Garden Route, and it is famous worldwide for it's incredible beauty.
