You have just found your own penthouse on the top ocean front corner with panoramic ocean views from every room. Be sure to see the Virtual Video Tour. The link is the arrow or partial image to the left of the main picture above. This is one of only of a few two bedroom units that has air conditioning throughout. Why suffer with just a wall unit in the living room (like other condos), when you can have air in both bedrooms as well as the living room?

Sit back and enjoy the spectacular, crystal blue and balmy Pacific Ocean from your large private lanai with tide pools just 30 feet away.

This 2 bedroom ocean front unit is on the north corner of the top floor of the D building. This unit has the advantage of being cooler than many other units and experiences cooling, balmy breezes. There are side windows in the dining room, kitchen and each of the bedrooms, providing natural lighting and a cross breeze. There is an air conditioner, although with the good breezes it is usually not needed.

Comfortable sleeping for up to 6 persons, there is a king size bed in the master bedroom, and a king size bed in the second bedroom, and a queen sleeper/sofa bed in the living room. TV's are in the living room and each of the bedrooms.

Also positioned right next to the shoreline, the Resort’s recently renovated salt water pool and Jacuzzi is just a few steps away from the unit itself; as well as the four immaculately-maintained gas barbecues in the dining cabana adjacent to the pool. That is a great place to BBQ dinner, and watch the beautiful Kona Sunsets.

Complete convenience, Hawaiian style! The Kona Reef is on the edge of Kona town, so you do not have to drive every time you want to go into town. You can walk to town in just a few minutes, and visit numerous restaurants, shops and the farmers market. It is really one of the most convenient locations in Kailua-Kona.

This private condominium has everything you need for an unforgettable Hawaiian experience. It is fully furnished including dishwasher, washer/dryer, small appliances, hair dryer, dishes, utensils and linens. It includes dish washing soap, dish washer soap and a starter box of detergent. It is your own personal, tropical beach hideaway!

Our availability calendar is always up to date, and we have multiple units available at the Kona Reef. We have four 2 bedroom units, six 1 bedroom ocean front units, and twelve 1 bedroom ocean view units. With multiple units, if this or another is not available for the dates you want, one of our others probably is.

Location location location

Is it possible that it is better in real life than in the photos?! We have been to the Big Island 3 times and this place is the perfect location with the perfect view. So spacious inside and out (full sized table on the patio AND loungers!). Plus everything you need for a day at the beach (chairs, snorkels, beach towels, boogie boards). Great pool area and hottub on site. Walkable to downtown without the noise of being on the main street. We saw whales, turtles, dolphins and yellow tangs right from the patio.

Air conditioning in living and bedrooms - not to be taken for granted! Lots of parking (included) and building and area felt safe and secure.

We visit Kona nearly every year at this time and have stayed at a variety of condos in the area. This condo has become our new favorite. It's perfectly situated oceanfront and at the north end of the building away from the pool and the bustle of the crowds - and it's the top floor! And yet, it's a short walk to town and all of the shops.

The condo is great and the location can not be beat.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo. We loved waking up and looking out at the ocean every morning. It is very close to all the shops and you could even walk to town to eat or shop. We are frequent visitors to the Big Island and have stayed at the Kona Reef more than any other complex. We have rented from Ken and Dia on our first trip to the island. They are very easy to get in touch with and are a pleasure to rent from. There were two negatives for us about this condo. It has an odor that is quite strong. I believe it is from whatever cleaning supplies are being used. It did not get any better as our two week stay continued. The second was how firm the mattress is in the master bedroom. I do like to sleep on a firm mattress at home but not so firm that my hips and shoulders are sore the next day. The other couple that shared the condo with us were very comfortable in their room. The condo is well stocked with everything you could need for the beach (towels, chairs, umbrella and coolers). There are also many games and books to enjoy with friends and family. Also plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and pans. The only item that would have been useful was a smaller measuring cup(4 cups was the only size I could find).

By the shore and so much more!

You'll love the view and mostly the sound of the ocean all day and night; must be only 50 feet away as advertised. Well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms and bedrooms, and a very nice lanai on the corner. We liked it. The local management at Kona Reef are friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the grills by the pool (but watch it! the grills light VERY fast even with the lid open --- just stand back when you light them --- they cook great!)

The guest before enjoyed the AC, housekeeping had it on when prepping the unit for you, and the guest immediately after you used the AC and enjoyed it as well. Just to be sure, based on your comment, we had the AC tech come to check and all was working well and still is.
