Whether you are visiting for work or for pleasure, you will feel completely relaxed in "The Terrace Retreat". This adorable 2 BR, 1 bath, newly furnished and updated 1940s gem provides all the comforts of home. After a restful night's sleep, wake up to an espresso, tea, or coffee while sitting in the sunroom or outdoors in the peaceful backyard. In the evening, take a walk in the tranquil and safe neighborhood, and close out your evening under the decorative lighting or around the firepit.

This quaint, older home has been fully updated while keeping it's original charm. New exterior with fenced in yard, larger carport, and new concrete patio. All NEW windows added in March 2023 so that you can enjoy the cooler nights and fresh air filling the home while you sleep.

Enter through the bright and cheerful sunroom, equipped with a sofa with lounger, as well as a large flat screen TV. The natural light shines in through all the windows in this comfy space. There is also a brand new washer and dryer for your use.

Enter from the sunroom, through original pocket doors, into the living room or the kitchen. In the fully stocked kitchen , enjoy the coffee bar equipped with a Breville Barista Espresso Maker, Tea, and coffee maker. Also provided are all the kitchen utensils and cookware necessary to make a wonderful meal. You may also decide to grill your meal on the easy to use gas grill sitting on the patio.

There is a small dining area through the kitchen where you can have meals while looking into the lovely front yard.

Down the hall there is a newly updated (9/23) and nicely decorated bathroom with a tub/shower.

The master bedroom includes a cozy King sized bed with lots of natural light. Watch the large flat screen TV or fall to sleep reading your favorite book.

In the second bedroom, relax in the comfortable Queen sized bed while reading or just looking for a restful night of sleep. There is no TV in this room. But there are large TVs in all other rooms for your enjoyment.

This place is amazing! It was our second time staying here and we booked it again for Sunday. Its a beautiful house with a huge yard and amazing hosts. It breaks up our trip from Atlanta to Melbourne Fl perfectly and allows us and our dogs a peaceful sanctuary for what would be an unbearable journey. I 100% recommend staying at this quiet and clean paradise in Valdosta

Very nice accommodations! Walkable neighborhood, which was enjoyed after an 11 hour drive. We only stayed overnight while heading to St Pete the next day, but definitely would be a nice house to stay longer. Will book it again for our next trip to FL.

We have 3 STR properties. They are located at the beach in St. Augustine, FL, mountains of NC, and in our hometown of Valdosta, GA. We enjoy hosting and our guests each have a unique purpose for choosing each destination. We strive to make their getaway as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Why they chose this property

There was a distinct need for a smaller, yet very comfortable, location close to the hospital, college, and Airforce base. We fell in love with this property at first sight. Built in the 1940s, the house holds a certain charm because of its age, but has been fully updated to make it clean and comfortable for our guests. The yard is wonderful, especially in the spring and summer. The surrounding neighborhood is very peaceful and safe.
We put in some unique upgrades, such as the espresso coffee maker, to attract those small groups that may be travelling for work, a special event, or to visit family. For those travelling from Florida to Atlanta, this location makes a great stopping point especially if travelling with pets.
