About Donna Bise
I have been a Realtor in the Abingdon, Washington county area since 1991. Have always enjoyed seeing the before and after when renovating old structures. This particular property, Maple Spring Inn is special to me. The property was originally an 80 acre parcel which my grandparents purchased in 1942. At this point the Maple Spring Inn is located on a 21 acre parcel of the original farm. After seeing the house sit empty and uncared for for over 20 years I decided to renovate. And what a renovation it was. With an exceptional team of contractors it took about two years to complete the renovations. The after results are stunning. Come see for yourself!

The property is a great place for a quiet getaway. The property is immaculate.
We had a great time getting away from it all.
Pictures Don't Reveal Its Graciousness
The house is updated but old fashioned. Many of the furnishings are antiques. The bathrooms have all been refurbished with two jacuzzi tubs and glassed in rainfall showers. We hadn't anticipated how large the rooms would be, the comfort of the oversized sofas, the beauty of the hardwood floors throughout the house, or the household items that were generously supplied. The only item I had to buy were dishwasher tabs. Everything else was there. Outside there are front and back seating areas. We were there during the holidays. One tree was lit with lights in the back--an unexpected, but appreciated touch.
This home is beautifully maintained and charming. Easy location to downtown , yet quiet location with surrounding farmland. Highly recommended for family reunion . Diane
Awesome! A great place to stay and relax.
We had a cousin reunion. So much more than we expected!
My sisters and I go to Abingdon every year for " girls trip" and this house was the best by far!!! It's so clean and has all of the comforts of home. Love the continuous hot water heater so everyone can take a long shower every morning! We will definitely be staying here next year! The owner, Donna was also very easy to get a hold of and she gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. I recommend this house for everyone!
Peaceful, Easy Feeling
Beautiful home on acreage...we loved it. We usually want to go do things in town, sight see, etc., but we spent most of our time right there, enjoying morning toast & coffee on the front porch, walking down by the old milk house, watching the birds & butterflies and at night just sitting on the porch listening to the frogs & bugs! We were even visited by some neighboring barn cats, incredibly cute, but were too skittish to let us pet them. The home is beautifully decorated, very clean, the bathroom whirlpool and showers fantastic. The master bedroom bed very comfy. Once you crawl in, you don't want to get out! You can't go wrong staying here. I didn't want to leave to go home. Thank you, Donna for keeping this home in your family and doing such a beautiful renovation of an 1800's home.

WI-FI!!! The structure currently used as The Maple Spring is part of the original Washington County Virginia 'Poor farm'. The stucture currently used as the Inn was once used as the caretaker house for the Poor Farm. To this day through out the property hand made bricks can be discovered from some of the many cottages once on the property which provided housing for the poor.
