Spacious farmhouse with private pool and large garden

Sleeping up to 10 adults in 5 generous bedrooms, our 4-star rated gite offers a real home from home, with, on the ground floor, a large family kitchen diner, huge living room with original charentaise fire place, stone walls and wood burning stove, and further snug\reading room with doors out to the terrace. Four large double bedrooms, 2 with king size beds, and one double and one with twin beds can be found upstairs. Additional large downstairs bedroom, with doors out to terrace, featuring twin 4ft beds. The house has been restored to a very high standard, beautifully combining original features such as stone walls, with modern comforts. It also benefits from oil fired central heating and a cosy logburner in the living room, which makes it ideal for winter or summer rental. Outside, you will find a rustic covered dining/bbq area, great for those al fresco long lunches and evening drinks, and also gravelled, making it a great space to indulge in a friendly pre dinner boules match! Beyond this, are further extensive lawned gardens, offering great, safe space for children to play, including a 9x4 fully enclosed pool and sun terrace. Pool heating is available from 1 June till 30 Sept. There is also a large courtyard to the front of the property. The area benefits from lovely walks through tranquil country lanes, surrounded by woodlands and sunflower fields, yet only a short walk into the village for the all important boulangerie! You will also find a pub, grocery shop, and Post Office in the village. Ideally located only 15 minutes from the largest monkey sanctuary park in France, La Vallee des Singes, only 35 minutes from Futuroscope theme park, and an hours drive to the coast, guests will find there is lots to explore in the local area. So whether you prefer relaxing by the pool in the beautiful gardens, or exploring the historic churches and little market towns of the area, we look forward to welcoming you to BelBiarge for a very special holiday!

Note: Accessibility of the house
The house has one bedroom on the ground floor (with two wide single beds) as well as a bathroom (with bath and shower). This makes the house suitable for guests with one or two persons who have difficulty with stairs.
However, the house is not suitable for persons using wheelchairs because there is a small step to the bedroom on the ground floor, and because the entry to the toilet is not wide enough.
