Cozy Waterfront Fish Camp- Catch Dinner from your Dock!
Experience old Florida in this 3 bedroom, 2 bath, waterfront home! Master bedroom features a king bed. 1st guest bedroom has two twins beds. 2nd guest bedroom has bunk beds with a trundle. Comfortable living room and full kitchen. Wake up to the gorgeous sunrises. Enjoy your coffee while bird watching on the screened in patio. Head to The Outpost for the best breakfast in town and to grab beers for a day on the water. Spend the day fishing off the dock or drop your small boat in from the private boat ramp and head out to enjoy some of the best fishing and scalloping in Florida (low bridge with shallow water will not allow access to large boats with towers, tops, etc. Flats boats and Jon boats are best with a 6' beam or less). Clean your catch on the dock and cook dinner on the included grill or head to some of the local haunts. Backwater Fins and Peck’s are the perfect distance for a sunset cocktail cruise on your boat (a GPS is suggested). This is REAL Florida living. Bring your bug spray and have an adventure!

We went to Homasassa for a long weekend to celebrate our mom’s 80th birthday. This vacation home was very clean and comfortable. It accommodated our family very well. It was off the beaten path and had beautiful water views. We will definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Our stay was great. House was clean and had everything we needed. The dock was great for my daughter and I to fish off of in the afternoon and nice place to tie up our boat. Host was quick to answer any questions we had.

Cutest house! We loved our stay here. The house was clean and the beds were so comfortable. We loved fishing from the pier. The house is so close to the places we wanted to visit but it’s also far enough away that it’s quiet and relaxing. We cannot wait to come back!

After living in Florida for 51 years I had a chance to explore this unique location. Quiet, vast marshes, unique scenery. Property as advertised. We used this as a our housing while we spent a few days scalloping. Fun and unique stay.

It’s a long winding road but worth the trip. If you enjoy peace and quiet, you’ll find it here. The TV was challenging for two retirees but the host was helpful. Area restaurants are very good especially Peck’s Old Port Cove Seafood Restaurant

Great experience even though our trip got cut short due to illness. James was very understanding and helped in every way you could ask. Thanks so much.
This home has all the feel of Old Florida, the outside is great as you have a dock, kayaks to use, fire pit, and a view of the water goes half way around the house. Easy to fish. Several restaurants are within a couple of miles of the home. The home is older but has charm, the kitchen is large and had everything need for our trip except a toaster. We had a great time and the host did everything to make sure our trip was a success.

Our stay was more then expected!! I’m ready to
Move to Ozello and enjoyed every minute! Our home was exactly as described and the neighbors are awesome..can not say enough about the Island Post as well! I’m only sorry that my whole family couldn’t be there to enjoy all that we saw..even a little manatee came thru :) Our host was exceptional and provided great info..we will be back!! Unless he sells to us
My family and I had the best long weekend at this house. Upon booking I knew that great fun was instore for our time at the property. From morning coffee in the screened in patio, to the sounds of the many birds native to the area, we enjoyed every minute of this stay. We had booked a local kayak tour in the clear springs, and an airboat ride at a local marina. With these trips being booked for mid afternoon we spent the mornings relaking, and fishing on the Kayaks provided by the owners. Overall I would like to say that this property is a true diamond in the ruff! Loved everyminute of the stay!

For us this property was perfect! We fish( boat and kayak) regularly up here . We only live about 30 mins away. Our oldest son and his family came up for a few hours, very kid friendly! The dock is great. We gigged at night. Boat ramp 5 mins down road. Need a john boat or mud boat in order to access water from property. We paddled from there with amazing results. The house is warm and cozy , kitchen had all I needed, great outdoor space. We will be back. Quiet area. Very peaceful. Thanks a bunch!

We had a wonderful stay at this "fish camp." It is located in a queit secluded area and it's very peaceful. The home is more on the rustic side but spacious and had lots to do. We used the kayaks at the proprty and had a fire in the backyard to roast smores. Owneres of the property have put thought into this rental. They have lots of extras like kids toys, games and puzzles, roasting sticks, Kayaks and lifejackets, a soft blanket on the couch and extra blankets, pillows and towels.
The only cons we had ....
The owners of the property require you to sign a 4 page lease/rental agreement above and beyond what VRBO ask you to sign. I wish this would have been disclosed before I paid. I have rented through VRBO many different times and in many different states and I have never been ask to sign a separate lease/rental agreement.
There were a few dirty dishes in the cabinets. These could have been put back by previous renters. We just handwashed stuff before we used it.

Hi Katie and thank you for staying with us! The Rental Agreement is there for our own piece of mind, as this is our family's second home. As I'm sure you're aware, there is always the potential of having a guest who could treat our property poorly, unfortunately. The Rental Agreement adds extra protection against that potential. Thanks again and we hope to see you soon!
