Cozy Guesthouse In The County...Convenient To Fort Hood & Lampasas Areas!

Come enjoy a little bit of Texas charm at your private guesthouse in Kempner. Take in the peacefulness of the country while still be close enough to town and other attractions! Kempner sits just outside Copperas Cove and within the Lampasas County Dark Sky Area...you can often see the Milky Way at night!

Your space will be a separate brick guesthouse on a family friendly 3 acre property.

When you enter the guesthouse, you'll find the living area with a sofa with queen sleeper for guests or kids, TV with streaming services.

In the bedroom, there is a comfy queen sized bed with drawers underneath for your clothes and a white noise machine.

In the kitchen, you will have all the necessary conveniences for cooking meals; a fridge with freezer, microwave, stove, coffee maker, dishes, and eating utensils.

The attached garage has HVAC and is a great space for working out, working from home, or using as extra hang out space.

There is plenty of space to park vehicles. Also available is a 30amp RV hookup.

Traveling with kiddos? They are free to run and play as much as you like! All we ask is that they respect the main house space as it may also have guests.

The guesthouse is located next to, but in a separate building that is detached from the main home.

We welcome dogs. The property is fenced across the back but not the front, so please keep a leash or close eye on them.

This property is located just 20 minutes from the Fort Hood gate! Great for PCSing families who are house hunting, TDY military members, or traveling professionals.

Nice Place in the country

Stand alone unit in an exurban Hill Country development. About 1 mile in from the main highway on good and paved country roads. Nice, quick responding and caring hosts, comfortable well appointed room, good amenities, full kitchen,m and quiet. Good for a stopover stay or a base of operations for the Lampassas - Copperas Cove - Fort Cavazos area.

Let me start wit "BEST stay ever". Stephanie, the host was so kind and friendly. The communication with her was easy and prompt. She was concerned about our well being the whole time we were there. The property itself was so clean, well stocked with everything you needed.. The neighborhood was very quiet and well kept. If the opportunity arises we will definitely come back. Five out of five stars from us and and five "bones". from our dog. It was a very nice and relaxing stay.

Clean and Cozy

We enjoyed our stay in Kempner. My husband and I stayed there with our kids, who slept on the pull out couch. I laid down on the pullout couch, and it was actually pretty comfy. The place was clean and cozy, in a nice neighborhood in the country. My son says it’s definitely a five-star place because he saw toads or frogs outside. The only (very minor) suggestion I would have is to add a larger knife to the kitchen, it would make chopping veggies a little easier. A little advice for future renters- the hot water heater is pretty small, so limit shower length, especially if more than one person wants to shower around the same time. The water never got freezing, just not quite as warm, but we were there when it was over 100 degrees outside so warm instead of hot water felt nice. Overall, I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the area. It’s a very nice, comfortable place.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property so that our kids could have more space to run and play, and so we could have more space to host friends and family. We have since moved on from this property but still manage it personally as a rental.

What makes this property unique

Our property sits a few miles outside of town in a semi-rural neighborhood. We love that it is still close enough to town to easily get to work, but far enough out that we can enjoy a little more quiet than in town. You'll hear roosters crow, kids playing, and horses neighing in the distance. We kinda like it and hope you will too!
