Koi Pond Nature Retreat

Welcome to our craftsman home in a quiet neighborhood near the Flint River. This is the perfect location for business travelers and families. Our home is quiet, cozy, with a hint of luxury. Take a moment to enjoy nature as you sit by the trellis and feed the Koi fish. TV's in each room, with Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video and wireless high speed internet, using your account details. Stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare a great meal! NO PETS ALLOWED to support families suffering from allergies.
The Space:
Our space is perfect for families with Teenagers that can sit in the loft nook to hang out and enjoy their private bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of outdoor space to run around. Looking for peace of mind during Tornado season? This home has a Tornado Shelter in the garage that accommodates 10 people. The home unfortunately is NOT wheelchair accessible.
Guest Access:
The home has a two car garage with a long driveway for other vehicles. You have one entrance and one exit to the subdivision. The Flint River is nearby if you'd like to take a short 15-20 minute walk through a cleared trail.
Key things to note:
- Please supervise your children by the Koi Pond for safety reasons. Rocks are slippery when wet and you can fall in. The Koi Fish are not fed until the Spring.
- The main sidewalk entering the home is uneven in one area. Please be careful to preclude a fall.
- Unable to support scent free accommodations.
- NO PARTIES, EVENTS, NO SMOKING OR DRUGS - $500.00 fee will be assessed for parties/events and $1500.00 for smoke damage
- No other guest allowed besides the number listed on the reservation (booking). Additional overnight guest will be charged a $50.00 fee per night.
- Maximum occupancy is seven, the home cannot support reservations above that number. If this is violated the reservations will be cancelled.
- Cameras are posted at the front door, back-yard, and garage for your safety. There are NO cameras in the house.

The host won’t let the fire place get turned on till December. You can not let anyone in the house. The only people that can be in the house are the ones that rented it. My daughter couldn’t come over for a chat. You were told don’t touch the thermostat. If this is vrbo’s clientele. We will never use vrbo again and we will tell everyone we know NOT to use vrbo

Beautiful house

We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for the three of us and the house was well stocked. The only negative thing I can say about the property is that the grounds are not maintained. It could be a beautiful yard if it were taken care of.

Family time

The property is lovely. We felt welcomed and we enjoyed feeding the fish, and watching them. The house was immaculate. We enjoyed Huntsville and we ate out most days and the food was always good. The mountains are is beautiful and we trekked all over them. Find the troll in the Botanical Gardens.

Beautiful home

This house is just a beautiful inside as it is outside. It was perfect location for the things we wanted to do while in Alabama. My 2 grandsons enjoyed the upstairs bedroom, saying the skylines were cool. If we make it back to the area we will definitely stay here again.

Very Pleasant Experience

5 adults (3 generations) spent 3 nights while attending a college graduation. We needed everything to work well from check-in to exit, and everything did. The house was exactly as advertised/shown, including cleanliness. The reference notebook was unusually clear & inclusive. Several items were nicely labled to assist with finding things, such as trash. Host was very available and responsive.

Great house in a great location!

The house was perfect. Loved the big kitchen and used it to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. It is very quite there and we loved the neighborhood. It is a great place to walk. The house is really convenient to Publix and pretty much anything else you would need. Deisy was great. She checked on us pretty regularly and we did not have any problems with the house during our stay. Deisy was super to us and allowed us to bring our dog and we did as she asked and keep Maggie off the furniture. Will definately stay there again if I need that big of a house.

Very Relaxing!

This home is beautiful, comfortable, and a perfect retreat. We appreciated the cleanliness of the interior, the tranquility of the outdoor space, the comfy master bed with the spa bathroom, and the spacious closets. All the TV’s were small which was the only point of contention with my husband. Although there’s free Wi-Fi available, there isn’t any cable tv. Mine was that even though we used our app logins for Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, the apps kept dropping after working for a couple of minutes. I believe a DVD player is available, but we satisfied our movies/video games fix by using our laptop and Xbox, so it worked out. The kitchen is well stocked with many gadgets, silverware, bakeware, basic cooking supplies, coffee k-cups etc. Bathrooms are also well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, and towels. The interior design was tasteful and helped maintain the serene environment. As we were admiring the artwork, we found several of the pieces painted by Deisy. We were pleasantly surprised how talented she is as an artist. Deisy excelled in her communication with us, responded quickly to our questions, and was a very gracious host. Overall we had a great time and it felt like a home away from home. I wholeheartedly recommend “Koi Pond Nature Retreat” for your next getaway!
