It was exactly how it was presented online, attractive, well equipped in the kitchen and bathrooms, beautiful view, and amenities in good order, such as the pool, outdoor furniture, beach furniture, shuffleboard, and indoor rec room games such as ping pong, pool, etc. In the case of having a burned out light bulb, it was replaced immediately. We highly recommend it.

Can't beat the view!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was lucky enough to find this rental about 6 weeks before our travel. Had planned to stay on the Atlantic side of Florida, but thought I would try to find something on the gulf side. So happy I found this! It was very easy to book this room on the Island House website. The staff was very accommodating to me when I was waiting on a new credit card to arrive to pay for the balance that was due. I never had to interact with any staff at all my entire stay. It was as if I owned the place, and was coming home. My only suggestion (not complaint) would be to give the unit a little TLC with painting, etc, and clean the laundry area a bit. Also, it would be helpful to have liquid hand soap in the kitchen & baths. Thank you for a great stay on Siesta Key!

The unit had a lot of little things:- The toilet seats were loose- The inside doors were hard to keep shut, you had to push the door firmly to get it to stay shut- The shower in the master bath had no shower caddy, you had to put soap, shampoo etc on the floor.- The TV was hard to use, very tricky to get it to turn on (but I have had this problem in most units)- The guest bath room sink you could not get the stopper to work to keep water in- The water leaked around hot water faucet in master bath- The master bath did not even have a stopper in one sink-To clarify my answer to the question below regarding recommendation of the property: I would recommend Island House strongly as a whole but would stay away from Unit 17S

Kitchen supplies are garbage, cabinets falling apart, chair cushions are disgustingly dirty, master bedroom door wouldn’t stay shut, and unit overall needs updating. TV’s are a joke, way too small.

I would say they really need a new dishwasher but otherwise it was very nice. We love the screened porch which allows a great view with sliders that manage the breeze when it is cool. We've stayed at IH three times now and it is always a great experience. We needed a late checkout and they were very accommodating.

The property is maintain and when I had an issue with my AC, they were on it and resolved it right away. The staff is like an extended family, always there to help. The best part is the wonder beach. It has become my family's favorite vacation and has been a tradition passed down to our children and one day their children will also know Island House and Siesta Key.

The property itself however could use a little TLC (door hinges, crack in the bathroom wall, window screens). Beds were comfortable but couch has definitely seen better days. Couldnt get the DVD player to connect to the TV and a smarttv would be a nice upgrade so we could log into our own netflix/hulu accounts. Overall though, it was a nice stay and we enjoyed our time there.

So enjoyed our stay. Easy access, safe environment, steps to the beach, friendly neighbors. Only thing I'd suggest is to equip the kitchen a bit better.

Needed reprieve

Absolutely beautiful condo in a fabulous location. Lovely views of the ocean from not only the lanai but both bedrooms. I woke up in the master bedroom each day looking at the ocean. The 5th floor location provides spectacular views. The section of beach in front of the condo is not crowded in the least, especially compared to the crowds I noticed on down the beach. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, blender included. Do yourself a favor and rent this condo! An awesome quiet reprieve from a busy life!!
