Beautiful Downtown Home

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Our home is right at the top of Broad St., a short walk down to bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc. You can also go for a beautiful hike along the Deer Creek on the Tribute Trail, right from our door. The house has three bedrooms, one on the main floor, and two upstairs. The living room and back porch are great for hosting and enjoying quality time. Small well trained pets are allowed after discussion.
The space
Our beautiful historic Victorian home was build in 1890, itā€™s very well taken care of and preserved. Gorgeous, bright and spacious main living area with furnished big back porch. Fully equipped kitchen with French door into the front yard with seating areas and blossoming flowers. Beautiful spacious master bedroom with king size bed and temperpedic mattress is on ground level. Next to it is full bath with shower. Upstairs we have two beautiful queen size bedrooms with temperpedic mattresses and one full bath with shower and bath tub. Plenty of closet space. Extra bedding. We take pride of high quality luxury sheets and hotel quality pillows. Soft and firm available. The entire house is very bright with plenty of sunshine. Live plants. Nest thermostat and cooling system. Alexa speaker for music. Best location ever in the heart of historic neighborhood attached to down town. Trail system the Tribute trail few minutes from the house. We also have lovely and respectful neighbors.
Guest access
You have access to entire main house, very beautiful front yard with furniture and decorative garden, back porch with dining table and day bed, driveway. You can also visit the backyard. You will receive door code and instructions from us the day of checking in.
Other things to note
We have another unit on the property with separate entrance with a very quiet tenant living in. She is a young woman who is very respectful, works most of the day. You wouldnā€™t probably even see her and will not hear her at all. She doesnā€™t park on the property. She walks down the driveway to the other side of the house to his unit. She does not have any access to the main house. We have a great relationship with her. She has lived there a long time.

The downstairs shower was totally inoperable. There were neighbors places that gave directions on the very ā€œtrickyā€œ shower as far as the adjustment of hot water was concerned. We followed them to a tea and never was able to have continuous hot water for a shower. At the most, we were able to get About a minute and a half of hot water for a shower. Completely unacceptable for a BNB/VRBO stay. Other than that we enjoyed it except there was no microwave no TV and no modern amenities like that that we are used to.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Everything was clean, comfortable, and charming. The house is a very short walk through a pleasant neighborhood down the hill to Nevada City restaurants and shopping. We can highly recommend this beautiful home for visiting Grass Valley or Nevada City.

Great place to explore Nevada City

The home is in a great location for walking to Nevada City, and the hosts are very friendly, communicative, and knowledgeable about the area. They definitely improved our night with a recommendation to eat at Dakan - which was amazing! The only cons are that the mattresses are quite stiff, there are no TVs in the house - which could be great if you want to unplug - and there's not a super cozy place to just plop onto a couch and put your feet up while tucking yourself into a soft blanket. But overall, a quite, charming home with lovely hosts.

Location Location Location

I could not have chosen a better place to stay while visiting the quaint town of Nevada City. It is within walking distance of absolutely everything, which meant we didn't have to get in our car once! Also, the house was excellently outfitted with everything we could ever need to make our stay both restful and productive. From the coffee maker, fresh flowers and furry throw on the sofa, to the phone chargers in every common space - we especially appreciated staying at this well appointed home. We didn't have any children with us, but if we did, I would be so grateful for all the children's toys and furniture that was also available. We will definitely return soon! Jan

Perfect Stay!

We were in town for a wedding at the Foundry. Home was walkable to town, plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful touches throughout. Hosts were responsive, very comfortable stay. I would book again when traveling to Nevada City!

Perfect Nevada City Escape.

Couldn't be in a better location! Steps to all that downtown Nevada City has to offer. Host communication was amazing and very accommodating. Also appreciated the many kids toys they had in the house which kept my toddler occupied - for those traveling with kids that is a Godsend. We will definitely be back!

Great comfortable spacious home

We were three couples (us & our adult children) in town for family wedding. Close walk into Nevada City. House has both nice outdoor and indoor space so you are not all on top of each other. Living room area with porch was great space for a gathering of our two families before going out to dinner. Lots of family fun games and well stocked kitchen supplies. Appreciated the iron! Great Nevada City Stay

We really enjoyed our stay in Nevada City. The location was great and very walkable to shops and restaurants. Parking was easy. The narrow driveway was ok, but lots of street spots were available right across the street. The home is very nice. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with a nice variety of things people had left such as spices, cooking oil, etc... I think its nice when some of those things can become communal with renters. The back deck was very nice and a great spot for breakfast, afternoon card games, and the kids enjoyed just hanging out. The front and side patios are also very comfortable with shade and are a great place to hang out. There are several cooling systems in the home and they work great. It was easy to regulate temperatures and it never got too hot during the 100 degree days. We enjoy Nevada City partially for access to the Yuba River. It is close by and fun. The home even had some river towels available. If the occasion arises I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!
