About this property

Peace and Quiet on the Fremont River

The Apartment is situated on the Fremont River, between the beautiful Boulder Mountains & The Thousand Lakes Mountains. Both mountains are 11,300 Ft in elevation and offer many outdoor activities, such as photography, Hiking, fishing, atv riding, and much much more.

Torrey is about 7,000 ft in elevation and has cool nights and comfortable days.

The covered outdoor dining area is equipped with a full sized gas BBQ grill, and charcoal BBQ grill, and a table and chairs.

Adjoining this is a large patio where you can watch deer, red foxes, and beaver storing food for the winter, and there is a variety of waterfowl.

Inside the living room are 7 large windows to enjoy the River and Mountain views.

For sleeping there is a queen bed and a hide a bed sofa that can sleep up to 2 people.

The kitchen is equipped with coffee, tea, fresh mountain spring water, and all the utensils to cook a delicious meal.

The Library has WIFI and books on hiking and activities in the area.

Torrey is designated a Dark Sky city, the stars are amazing and with no close neighbors, you will experience Quiet and Privacy!

As you can see from the photos, we are set back about half a mile from Hwy 24. The property is set on the Fremont River to the south and red rock cliffs to the north. The river is small by eastern, or European standards, but it maintains a host of wildlife.

Excellent quiet location on the Fremont river. Spacious and amazing dark sky for astrophotographers. Property owner easy to reach and friendly. Only stayed 2 nights but could definitely stay longer on another trip. We loved it !

The place was just as advertised: "Peace and Quiet on the Fremont River". The setting is beautiful and indeed peaceful and quiet. Jan was very responsive to our email requests for information. We would certainly try to stay here again when next in Torrey, Utah.

Great location! Close to Capital Reef NP. Biggest surprise - a couple of first class restaurants in little Torrey, Utah! A nice place to stay, the lower level of the owners home. Quiet and clean. Lacking some kitchen equipment if you want to cook, but I would recommend just going to Hunt & Gather, &/or Chak Balam!

Very nice quiet location. This is a complete separate unit with all listed amenities below a primary residence. The location feels remote and is at the end of a long gravel road. The descriptions are accurate. The place has a pleasant homey feeling. While it feels remote the location is just a few minute drive from the town of Torrey.

Great little property alongside the river. Great location, close to Capitol Reef and other natural attractions in the area. The unit was very functional, family friendly and the host was very responsive. Would definitely recommend to others as well.

Nice, secluded location

Our stay in Torrey was wonderful. The little apartment was well-kept and at the back of a beautiful house. We had a lovely view. Torrey is a nice town and perfectly located for us to travel to our hiking destinations.

Cozy Unit in a Relaxing Setting

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gem. Probably works better for 2 people than for 4, but this is a fantastic place to spend a night after a day of exploring Capitol Reef. The views are amazing, communication with the host was great, and we just felt really welcomed.

The Sofabed was a bit short, but ok for one person.The kitchen was ok for little cooking.There is no dishwasher. We liked the place and especially the rocking chair.The bedroom has no daylight,no problem for us. We would come back.

The place was very clean and private. She had LOTS of info for the area that was very helpful! I'd DEFINITELY go back here again if we are in the area!!!!Beautiful views. Only about 12 minutes to Capitol Reef.We had a few questions and the owner answered quickly.Since we were in the "basement",we did hear some walking around noise from the floor above, but wasn't that bad. I'm not a huge fan of sponges in the kitchen, so I wish there would have been a dish cloth, but we adapted.

We loved how quiet and the view was awesome. It was so close to Torrey and Capital Reef. Hunt and Gather restaurant so close and an excellent birthday dinner! Great spot want a lovely view and quiet!

Property appears isolated, but is just edge of town. View of river and mountains from windows. Binoculars were provided. We were there to hike in Capital Reef which was about 20 minutes away.

Comfortable living

This property was quite, room to spread out and over looked the Fremont river with a view of an old log cabin up on the mountain side with snow covered mountains in the back ground. We would definitely stay here again.
