The house was wonderful! The kitchen had everything we could have wanted! The beds are good and bathroom very nice. The backyard is fun with lots of shade. The neighborhood is varied with million dollar homes close by but the Nextdoor neighbors homes could use some TLC. Don’t let that affect your decision to stay here- it’s a great place and a great host! A/C worked great -

Literally a Dream

Every detail was absolutely perfect: the intentionality of each room and it’s theme, the backyard oasis, the spacious yoga room, the equipped kitchen. We brought our own high chair, toddler beds, and potty seat but literally needed nothing else. Felt more like home than our own home does with its mini fruit trees, mini golf, and other assorted treasures to this property.

OMG!! Absolutely Awesome!

This is one of the best stays I've ever had. We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect place to stay. The drive to shopping, dining, and entertainment is short, and it's near the airport. There's a state park a short drive away if you wanna go hiking etc. Ryan was very attentive and responsive to all my questions and even shared dining recommendations. The home is very nice and the yard is amazing. It's a great place for the kids to roam, and friends to hang out and play games and lounge around. The hammocks and gazebo were a big hit with our family. We're already discussing plans to return and book again!

Our Hummingbird Stay

We had a wonderful time at the hummingbird house. We wanted to stay at a home that had activities for the kids and had the home feeling after a long day of football games for the West Coast Nationals. The house was unique and clean, the kids loved the mini putting green and cornhole area. This kept them occupied and they had fun. We also loved the garden out back and the fruit trees. The outside dining was a perfect spot for us to have a sit down meal with the family and the firepit to relax in the evening and have the kids roast marshmellows. Any questions we had were answered quickly. The organic coffee was delicious and loved the yoga room. We would definitely stay here again if this home is available.

Why they chose this property

I was born and raised in Phoenix and grew up close to South Mountain. My Dad's family’s home that him and his siblings grew up in was a few miles away from this home. Back in the mid 2000's, I felt the call to buy a home and in 2009 after looking at many homes, I finally found this home next to South Mountain and knew it was the one. This home became a gathering place for artists, musicians, gardeners, and other community members over the years. A lot of love was put into the property and it went through many upgrades and transformations. After watching the hummingbirds feed out front and perch on the Chinese Elm, it became the retreat space now called The Hummingbird House.

What makes this property unique

The location with mountain views from the front and backyard made me fall in love with this home. It is perfectly set on a small culdisac, walking distance to the trails. Shopping and dining is down the street, yet while your in the neighberhood you feel detached from the big city. All the touches and love put into the spaces makes it a unique, comfortable home that offers an unforgettable experience.
