This was WONDERFUL! Take breakfast foods and use the amazing outside griddle! The privacy is great, it truly feels off the grid, but internet service is great if you must have it! If you can take enough food for your entire stay, it would be the ultimate relaxation and retreat! Hubby and I celebrating 49 years, saw the Gorge and the Natural Bridge and family in Richmond. Great walking area as well-God's creation is exemplified in this beautiful location.

This is a fabulous place to stay. Very reasonable price for the quality and the perfect blend of old-time charm and modern amenities. We will be back and back again. A family emergency for the cleaning person meant that the cabin hadn't been cleaned before we arrived, but the host was immediately responsive and excellent about getting it cleaned for us. Even with this hiccup, I have no hesitation about staying there again.

I was late planning a trip to RRG and all cabins were filled. I found this cabin in Irvine, though about a 30 min drive to the gorge, it was a great place to stay. Very clean with a grill and griddle for great cooking outdoors. It is remote and quiet. It does have a gravel drive up hill about 75-100ft but was able to leave my AWD in front wheel drive mode. Just a tip for everyone, stop at the Save A Lot or other grocery stores to bring in food or other things you may need. It is about 20-30 minutes from any grocery stores. Loved it and recommend.
