Why We Fell in Love with Grant-Valkaria & The Indian River Lagoon

When we first found this location, we immediately knew it was somewhere special. Unlike busier, overcrowded coastal towns, Grant-Valkaria offers a rare glimpse of serene, authentic Old Florida charm. Nestled right along the banks of the Indian River Lagoon, the area feels peaceful, relaxed, and deeply connected to nature—yet it puts you just minutes away from world-class adventures.

The Scene
Life here revolves around the water. On any given morning, you’ll look out to glassy, calm river waters bathed in golden sunlight, with manatees floating near the shore and dolphins actively hunting along the channel. Pelicans glide overhead, and nearby spoil islands dot the horizon.
