Shoalwater offers plenty of amenities to enjoy including; an outdoor pool, indoor pool, outdoor kiddie pool, tennis courts, fitness room, grilling area, outdoor shower, indoor hot tub and fantastic boardwalk to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Location is great as well, close to shopping, dining, and lots of fun in the sun. Some activities include: charter fishing boats, boat & jet ski rentals, Para-sailing, dolphin cruises, sunset sailboat cruises, beautiful back bays for boating, tubing, skiing and fishing, amusement parks, great restaurants with entertainment for all ages, golf, outlet malls, shopping, live concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater, and of course, plenty of powder-white sand. You will not be disappointed nor will you find this level of luxury anywhere for this price!

Nice family Spring Break stay

The property was on the first floor - walk outside and there is grass and pools right there. 2 condos side by side - easy to access both. Condos were clean . Beds comfortable. Great location. Kitchens both well stocked with utensils, cups, mugs, pots and pans, silverware . Great for large groups and family

We had to evacuate due to electrical problems due to a fire that happened 2 weeks before we arrived. Poor communication on the owners/HOA. The whole property had to evacuate. Hundreds of guests. We had to pack up everything in the dark with the alarms going off. The bad thing we were refunded less than half what we paid. Very upsetting. We arrived Saturday afternoon and had to leave on Tuesday.

We’re truly sorry that a major building-wide engineering issue disrupted your stay. Having to evacuate and pack your belongings in the dark while alarms were sounding was understandably upsetting and certainly not the experience we expect or hope for our guests. When situations outside our control arise, our team is prepared to help guests work through their options. Alternative accommodations were offered for the remainder of your stay, though we completely respect your decision to return home instead. The unused nights of the reservation were refunded accordingly. We regret that your trip ended under these circumstances and would be glad to welcome you back under better conditions. We hope your next visit to the coast provides the smooth and relaxing experience you originally planned.

Minor issues but would stay again

There was a recliner that was partially reclined and missing the power cord. Only half of an electrical socket in the master bedroom worked. And the sink leaked onto my belongings below. No pantry or even cabinet without dishes for groceries. Bring all seasonings and staples not even a shaker of salt in unit. All minor and the location and convenience of the units made it appealing enough for future stays.

We’re sorry for the minor maintenance items you experienced. The recliner was the only item reported to our team during your stay, and we have since addressed it. Had we been made aware of the outlet or sink concerns while you were here, we would have been happy to send maintenance out to take a look. For the health and safety of our guests—and to help keep unwanted pests from crashing your getaway—perishable items, seasonings, and pantry staples are not left in the condo. Each reservation includes a personalized digital guestbook, sent multiple times prior to check-in, with a detailed list of what is provided so guests can plan accordingly. We appreciate your feedback and do hope these minor items still allowed for an overall enjoyable stay. We’d be happy to welcome you back again for another Beach Getaways vacation.

Orange Beach family reunion

Property and location is great. Lower ratings primarily due to outside pool being closed during our stay. This was a BIG factor when selecting this location especially with younger kids. We had red flags 2 of the days. The “caution” tape around the pools although needed was a distraction. Also we were asked not to play corn hole on the oool deck. We received a parking violation 5 minutes after arrival .. had not even gotten into the unit to get the passes. Sheets were missing for foldouts. Coffee pots in both units had issues and can openers did not work. Knife fell apart when cutting fruit.Loved the washer and dryer. Location is perfect. People very kind. I would go back. Would have appreciated sufficient notice about the pool resurfacing. It was suppose to have been complete by the time we got there.
