Almost Heaven on Lake Wedowee

Summary:
This like new home is going to blow you away with the GORGEOUS open water views from every bedroom/ oversized porch/ and private dock. You'll love the seclusion, but convenience to restaurants and shops. We have left no detail untouched with upgraded amenities including a fully stocked kitchen and coffee bar/ luxury mattresses, comforters, sheets, and towels/ pool and ping pong table/ custom fire pit/ dedicated workspace. We have connections to a great boat rental company if you’d like to rent.

The Space:
As you enter the open kitchen/ living/ dining area you'll immediately notice all of the oversized windows with immediate views of the lake. As you walk out the French doors you'll be on the top level deck with that hosts a swinging bed, and outdoor dining table plus amazing views of open year round water and our private dock. (Yes, you can store your boat here, if needed) Down at the dock we've provided extra seating, 2 kayaks (*use at your own risk), and a 6x18 ft Lilly pad that is fun for the entire family to use. There is a 1/2 bathroom on this main level, laundry room and also a master bedroom with private full bathroom. Downstairs there are 2 more master bedrooms (one with an additional bunk bed in the walk in closet) with private full bathrooms and a another semi private bedroom with a double bunk bed with a pull out trundle. Each bedroom has a 50 inch smart that we have on guest mode so you can use any of your own apps and have provided cable. We have Starlink internet that works amazing for work or streaming. In each room in our home you will have incredible lake views and we promise you will be so comfortable you won't want to go home.

The Neighborhood:
Lake Wedowee is a hidden treasure 90 miles from both Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL. It is an 11,000 acre lake with some of the cleanest and most stunning water in the southeast. Our lakefront home is also located within 15 minutes of Downtown Wedowee which boasts small town charm with shops, restaurants, and fun things to enjoy.

Getting Around:
The area around our home is easily accessible by boat or car. We have parking spaces for 4 cars. Our large 26 ft dock will hold most boats.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
1. Put all used towels in the laundry room. 2. Load any dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start it. 3. Bag any trash and put in the dumpster at the end of the driveway.
*ALL trash needs to be bagged in the dumpster, if trash is not bagged our trash service will refuse pickup and we will charge a minimum of $50 to the responsible guest for this inconvenience.
4. Verify propane tank on grill and fireplace are turned off. 5. Throw away any uneaten food in pantry or fridge. 6. Make sure all lights are off, windows closed, and doors are locked upon your exit.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
*Do not park on the road. *Quiet time from 10pm-8am *No smoking or illegal drugs

We really enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. It was clean and comfortable and very relaxing. The views were beautiful from every room, and the screened porch was perfect for reading a book and napping. We brought our boat, and the boathouse was nice and accessible. We hope to come back soon!

Overall this was the best property we have rented from anyone!! The home is very cozy and relaxing. The travel up to the property was easy. The home itself is immaculate, new modern decor, perfectly functional for large families, or multiple couples to stay. The bedding is top-notch, all details were thought of in this home. The Lakeview from main and lower level was gorgeous, we arrived mid January for our stay, and there was still water in the lake coves . Alot of other lake properties in Wedowee are dry in the winter.We highly recommend this property and the host Victoria was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating of our family wedding weekend!

Short Little get away!

The property was perfect for what we were looking to do and it’s in a great area. This place is very relaxing and peaceful. The water activities made the stay that much more enjoyable. Things were very pleasant while the visit lasted. The cleaning could be better. The facing of the cabinets(ALL), light switches and the windows sills could use a cleaning & the ceiling fans. Overall, stay the was good. Thanks for the open line of communication!

This property was perfect! Perfectly appointed, perfect view, perfect access, perfectly comfy and perfect hosts! Victoria has outdone herself with the design of the space, and the amenities included. We could have basically shown up with food and clothes and been set for our stay. It was a very busy weekend on the water since it was a holiday but there were restaurants, a marina and a dollar general all nearby if something was needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! The hosts were very communicative with instructions and making sure we had everything we needed which was far above other places we’ve stayed. I hate to even say how great this place was because then it will get busy and booked up but these lovely people deserve for everyone to know that their hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed!
