The beach is 20 steps to the sand and the ocean. The beach is wide and 5 miles long. You are looking at Todos Santos Bay with Todos Santos island in the distance. You can rent horses or quads to ride on the beach.
The mountain ranges form a distant ring encircling us from north to east to south. Ocean, estuary, beach, mountains…..who says you can’t have it all?
Come enjoy the colorful casual Mexican vibe of our recently updated oceanfront home. A few steps from the sandy beach & you’re IN the ocean! Our property is quite large, completely surrounded by a wall, & very private. We're in a quiet & very small beachfront community with friendly neighbors. Our guests agree this is a truly magical place!
Much of the action centers on our tiled patio overlooking the beach & ocean. With tables & chairs, a chimera for that evening chill, & a built-in BBQ for all your grilling needs, what more could you ask for other than a tall glass of limonada or a nice chilled bottle of Corona? Watch the antics of the seagulls & pelicans or maybe spot a dolphin or an occasional whale spout out in the bay! Follow the seemingly motionless progress of the cruise & container ships as they motor in & out of Ensenada.
On the beach, flag down the ultra-lite plane & enjoy the vistas on your thrilling adventure of flying high above the ocean! Or collect seashells to your heart’s content. In the warmer months, swim in our calm, safe, & shallow ocean waters or enjoy our boogie & surf boards; sizes for all ages! We also have plenty of sand toys & balls for the kids.
Inside the house, dine, play cards, put a puzzle together, watch tv, cuddle in front of the wood-burning fireplace, sit & chat, check out the ship traffic in the bay, or simply watch the tides come in & out!
Our huge sectional sofa is the perfect place to snuggle & enjoy the fireplace, the view or watch our Directv with multi-channels. A dvd player & dvd’s are also provided &, of course, high speed wireless internet works throughout the house. We have a selection of books & magazines & games for all ages stocked in the cabinet below the kitchen.
Speaking of kitchens, our well-appointed one overlooks all the activity in the family area so the cook never has to miss any of the action. It boasts a new stainless steel refrigerator along with a full-size stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave, other small appliances, a basic stocked pantry, & plenty of pots & pans & dishes. Just bring the food; you should find everything else you need to whip up a memorable meal.
At bedtime, let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep. The lovely master suite features a queen bed & sitting area with a twin daybed & comfy chairs plus an ensuite bathroom with double vanity sinks & tub/shower.
The vibrant but restful Pueblo bedroom is fitted with a queen bed, huge closet, & a dresser to stash your clothes.

The main bath features a big, beautiful walk-in tiled shower, large vanity & a whimsical chandelier!
Hang out on our huge covered front porch, a nice respite from the sun & wind, or to escape our occasional raindrop! Keep in mind with that measly average annual rainfall of just 11 inches, you probably won’t experience rain while you’re here. The porch is a nice quiet place to sit & relax, read a book, or simply take a quick cat nap before continuing on with any of the other numerous activities you’ve got planned.
Our large walled backyard is perfect for the kids to safely play or kick around a soccer ball. It features a bougainvillea covered pergola with table & chair plus a unique rock garden “mountain.”
We offer parking inside locked gates under the carport with enough room for 2-4 vehicles. Additional parking is also available on the lane next the house just outside the wall.
Located in a rural coastal area of Northern Baja, we recommend you drive a car to get here. The closest airport is in San Diego or Tijuana. There is no train although Mexico is famous for its plentiful buses that go everywhere, except that last pesky mile from the main road to our home! The bus could get complicated but is workable.
BOOK YOUR NEXT STAY NOW!......Summer fills up quickly & YOU don’t want to miss out! But remember….anytime is the right time to come & create memories. Our home & Baja is waiting to welcome YOU!
WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA:
If you like, we can arrange a very good tour guide to drive you to many of the following activities at VERY reasonable prices. Enjoy your wine on a Guadalupe Valley outing & leave the driving to our guide!
La Bufadora: You simply MUST check out La Bufadora, our famous marine “geyser” or blowhole. Several big tour buses each day bring cruise passengers from Ensenada just to see La Buf. It’s one of the major tourist attractions in northern Baja!
La Buf ranks among the biggest blowholes around the world. La Buf waters jet about 60 feet into the air. The biggest, Halona, in Hawaii shoots as high as 100 feet. Others are in Sri Lanka, New South Wales, & Samoa, among other places. You owe it to yourself to see this rare natural phenomenon & you only have to travel seven short miles from the house to do it!
Even more spectacular; if you’re here during during winter’s “rainy season” AND it's storming, consider it a gift (remember that measly average annual 11 inch rainfall). Grab your raincoat or a big plastic trash bag, head down the road & prepare to be entertained, roared at, & soaked! Yes, the beast roars! The view here at the end of the peninsula & the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks is mesmerizing. You will see birds nesting on the rocks or you might catch a glimpse of dolphins or kayakers setting out into the bay.
La Buf is located at the mouth of the bay so in season, if you’re lucky you may also see the gray whales themselves on their way south to Guerro Negro (half way down the Baja) or north back to Alaska! To get to the actual blowhole itself, you must walk the paved street with vendors lined up on both sides absolutely intent on selling you your heart’s content & then some! Colorful, noisy & busy, you can find some very nice Mexican crafts, leather & woolen goods, mixed in with the souvenirs & “junk,” plus much, much more.
Guadalupe Wine Valley: Plan a day trip to Mexico’s answer to California’s Napa & Sonoma Wine Valley….our own Guadalupe Wine Valley. It is said the first grapes were planted in 1703! The weather & temps are very similar to Napa & Sonoma & perfect for growing outstanding grapes. Guadalupe boasts more than 150 wineries just waiting to wine & dine you. With well-renowned local & celebrity chefs offering outstanding food & wine, the Valley is becoming quite the foodie destination! Our knowledgeable tour guides can take you to 3-4 wineries. Your choice or they can choose for you.
Downtown Ensenada: Baja’s third largest city, it is aptly called the “La Cenicienta del Pacífico,” or "The Cinderella of the Pacific.” Check out the Riveria Hotel (now a museum & cultural center), choose among several excellent restaurants, stop by Hussong’s Bar, or check out the “Black Market,” (seafood market) near the Port to buy some freshly caught seafood, or choose among several food stands for some fresh & tasty shrimp or fish tacos.
If you need a “taste of home” fix, you’ll also find many American stores & fast food such as Walmart, Costco, Starbucks, Home Depot, Applebee’s, & McD’s.
Try some of our local restaurants; Junior's w/the view, La Bonita's & Estero Beach's fab Sunday buffets, & Pueblo Bonito Café for a cuppa & a bagel.
