Really nice, clean home walking distance to Main Street shopping and restaurants. Also close to nearby bike trails and golf courses. We would definitely book here again.

It was our first visit to Galena. The stay at your fantastic owl house was awesome. Super cute and spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. Perfectly, situated for quick walks down to the main street to the wonderful restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Galena.

It was my wife's favorite rental, and she is not an easy person to please. Chris & Jayne are wonderful hosts, very responsive and The Owl House is a gem. Downtown Galena is right around the corner and parking on the street was a non issue.

A cute and unique little home that’s located within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Galena. Communication with the host was clear and fast. The home was spotless and has every amenity you’d expect from an excellent host. You can tell there was a lot of time and attention that was placed into every little detail of the home.

Owl House is a lovely, comfy, cozy nest at the end of a long day shopping. Exploring and (in my husband’s case) fishing. It is so easy to access Main Street from a stairway two doors down. Chris and Jayne are very quick to answer any questions and offer suggestions. They also left us a lovely gift”sweet” treat for staying (gift card to a bakery with the best almond cake I have ever had)! I would highly recommend Owl House for your next get-away and cannot wait to return!

Great place for a couple. Plenty of room. Close to everything and very convenient location. Super quiet at night. Amenities are good. If we ever do galena again, we would certainly entertain the owl house. Hosts were prompt and professional.

If I could pick 6 stars, I would have! From the moment I booked The Owl, until I left town, the communication was phenomenal. I knew exactly what to expect, where to park and they even helped me with local knowledge on places to eat. The location was perfect. It was steps away from the main strip, but far enough away to feel like you weren't downtown. I loved waking up in the morning and walking down to grab a coffee. My husband enjoyed the coffee provided at the house and would sit out on the bench and talk with the locals.This will definitely be where we will stay every time we come to Galena!

Everything was perfect. The location could not have been better. The house was beautiful and right on Bench Street, a block from the Museum and General Grant’s Church. Ten minute walk to the General’s home. Every room of the house had special touches—a turntable in a music room, Lavazza coffee and LaCroix in the fridge, which was perfect because the temperature outside. We loved it.

Beautiful home in prime location

The Owl House was perfect for our girls weekend trip. It was beautifully decorated with all the amenities we needed plus some. It was very comfortable and just steps from downtown for all of the restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful

Lovely little house a short walk to shops and restaurants. Very nice amenities. Only issue was the parking, but that's going to be the case for any property in the area. Would stay again!
