If your looking to get away and enjoy nature this is the place to go. The house has the the amenities you need and more. The owner was great at sending detailed videos of exactly how to get to the property and walking trails near by. He was also Great at responding to any questions we had within minutes. The property and the area felt very safe as well. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return.
The cabin is located in a small village away from the road. I would call it a hidden gem in the jungles.
There is an AC on the main floor and spacious bathroom, two beds on the top floor with lots of windows. We kept them open throughout the nights to hear all the sounds of the nature surrounding the cabin.
Our kids enjoyed going down to the river and spending time on a swing or throwing rocks into the water. It's a part of the property too.
We saw a sloth right by the house, some monkeys in a distance and numerous butterflies, birds and other wildlife. There is an inexpensive fonda (basic cafe), a store as well as a bakery in a walking distance.
This was the first time that I have stayed in a treehouse! It was a cool experience. The cabaña gives the feeling of being in the jungle, and there are noisy bugs. One thing to note is that it is a lot like glamping—you’re inside, but kind of still outside. From the website photos I was confused about where the kitchen was, and it turned out that the kitchen is basically just a sink and a small gas stove on the back porch, with a microwave and refrigerator inside. Please note that the electricity sometimes goes out, as it did for us, but the house is equipped with a few lights for that emergency. This actually added to the experience, as it was even a little more remote feeling. The host is extremely communicative so he won’t leave a question unanswered. There is a very narrow bridge to drive on to get there—pull in your mirrors!
