The views are incredible... From rainbows and sailboats gliding over a glistening sea by day, to brilliant sunsets, to the twinkling lights of St. Thomas dancing in the distance on a moonlit night, the view is truly breathtaking.

Once inside, you'll be at the heart of this gracious home. The living/dining area is beautifully appointed with soothing colors, mahagony accents and designer furnishings. The large dining table and wet bar will invite elegant dinners and lingering conversation. The gourmet kitchens offers all the bells and whistles the even fussiest cook could ask for. .

There are two elegant guests suites on this main level, both with luxurious king bedding, fine linens and large, well appointed baths, with a stonework shower for the romantic.

A short walk down a covered stairwell brings you to the main pool deck. A large pool with a beach entry offers guest a cool retreat to swim or simply dip while sunning and enjoying the magnificent westward view of the Caribbean Sea. The antique brick patio offers options for both sunning and shade, with ample seating and lounging

thrilled with Blue Papaya

We loved this house. 4 complete primary bedrooms. Full kitchen. Lots of seating for dinners, games and relaxation. Beach towels, chairs, cooler, and some snorkel equipment included. Order your groceries early! One week before was too late.

Amazing Vacation

This property is gorgeous and the perfect location. My family, my sister’s family and my 71 year old parents all stayed in this beautiful villa with plenty of privacy and outstanding views. We will stay again soon!!!!

Our group of 9 had a wonderful time at Blue Papaya. Each couple had their own private space with beautiful views from every bedroom. Only one bedroom is attached to the main living/kitchen space and all others had their own outside entrances. Views from the pool were also amazing. Really appreciated the beach chairs and beach towels that were provided. Would stay here again for sure!

Blue Papaya is beautiful!!!

We stayed at Blue Papaya the first week of November 2020 and it was beautiful. The house is an amazing construction with arches, columns, stone walled showers with shells tucked in and a beautiful brick floor throughout. The mahogany doors and shudders gave an elegant drama to the house. Each bedroom is its very own suite, so each couple in our group felt like they had their own hideaway when they wanted to chill. The pool is awesome, and perfect for lounging mid afternoon, or late night swims. The kitchen is chef quality, and satisfied the wonderfully meticulous cook in our group. Of all the beautiful things this house had to offer, the best part was the VIEW. Watching the sunsets with our friends are some of the best memories we have.

Perfect villa for couples or families

Amazing villa! We stayed at Blue Papaya 2 times now. First with another couple and our 2 year old son last year. Layout is great - we could be together if we all wanted to hang out or separate and feel that we both had privacy. Most recently we stayed with family, including our 2 small kids. The downstairs bedroom with attached lounge was perfect for us. The pool with zero entry is great for kids and large enough for all the adults to float and not be on top of each other. Having fans and AC in all rooms made it very comfortable. The villa decor is current with nods to the island but not overly kitschy. Each bedroom and bathroom is nicely appointed, with great beds and the most comfortable pillows. The views are beautiful from every room. Facing West, you have great sunsets in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped and having a washer/dryer room is super convenient. We booked through Destination St John and they are seamless to work with - easy process, quick responses. They also do not charge for children under 5 (other companies do not have this policy). We looking forward to returning next year.

Perfect Couples Vacation!

The pictures of this beautiful villa do not do it justice! Blue Papaya is perfectly situated in Virgin Grande Estates, which is a quiet, private, gated community in Great Cruz bay over looking the Westin. You are about a 10-15 minute drive to Cruz Bay area and route 10 to famous North Shore beaches. Both Starfish Market and St John Market are on the way to the villa as well. The home had a car port large enough for 2 jeeps and a longer driveway if more car space is needed. Blue Papaya was perfectly laid out for our 3 couples vacation. Walking into the upstairs main living area, there is a large sitting area for game night, dining table, bar area, large up to date kitchen with blender, icemaker in freezer, plenty of cooking utensils, toaster and coffee maker. Connected to the kitchen is a walk in laundry, this is very handy if you are a light packer :) There is a little hall with master suite connected. The porch is AMAZING and had some of the best sunsets I have ever seen on St John. It was perfect for morning coffee, evening "happy hour(s)" and dining. There is master suite in a separate building (but connected) and two master suites at the pool area (one has a beverage center and large sitting area - would be perfect for a family with children) Also a half bath at pool area and a grill. All master suites were equally beautiful, furnished and spacious with plenty of closet and storage space and in room safes. The entire villa has A/C (I was a little surprised since most homes I've stayed in only have A/C in bedrooms). There were plenty of towels including beach towels, coolers and beach chairs. Destination St. John was extremely helpful and quick to respond with all questions, excellent management company! We can't wait to book again for another vacation in paradise!!!!

Perfect Family Vacation in Beautiful Blue Papaya!

What can I say...this villa is beautiful! Clean, well-maintained, very comfortable with amazing views are all words I would use to describe Blue Papaya. We spent our 10th anniversary in this lovely villa. Although there were only 5 of us, the villa can comfortably accommodate more guests. The lay-out is such that everyone can be together or they can retreat to their own private, luxurious retreat within the villa. The property has beautiful gardens and the sounds and sites of nature were amazing! The villa is equipped with modern appliances and everything was in great working order. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and has fantastic views (including one morning’s rainbow over the Bay view-priceless!). Some of the highlights for us included...Beach-entry style pool was perfect for our young children, the master on the pool deck’s sitting room was great to double as our children’s bedroom, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very well-stocked and the stone showers, wood-work, brick floors and color scheme were simply beautiful. We spent our days enjoying some of the world's most beautiful beaches and our evenings grilling, playing in the pool and enjoying awe-inspiring views. Perfect family vacation! And the management company, Destination St John's booking process, quick replies to all my questions and help with all our needs were excellent. As an owner of vacation rental properties on VRBO, I highly recommend Blue Papaya! We will be back!
