Riverside Retreat for Large Families and Groups

Beside Still Waters Cabin in Broken Bow | Riverside Retreat for Large Families and Groups

The Experience
Beside Still Waters is a magical riverside cabin set directly on the Mountain Fork River between two ancient cypress trees, offering one of the more distinctive nature-forward stays in the TreeLine collection. It is a beautiful fit for larger families and groups who want time on the water, forest privacy, and a stay that feels deeply tied to the landscape.

Inside, the cabin blends luxury comfort with relaxed rustic style, featuring large picture windows, high-end furnishings, and bedrooms designed for both quiet rest and flexible group sleeping. The sound of the river and the sweeping wooded views help give the entire stay a slower, more peaceful rhythm from the moment you arrive.

Outside, more than 1,500 square feet of covered deck space gives your group plenty of room to gather, while the hot tub and firepit bring everyone together at the end of the day. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, and riverside lounging are just steps away, and the cabin also includes a private 240V EV charger for added convenience.

****This property is located in Eagletown, OK, located about 30 minutes from Broken Bow near Wild Goose Canoe & Kayak Rental. The roads are so new in this area that the location shows up incorrectly on the location map

Nature & Environment
One of the most memorable parts of staying in a Broken Bow cabin is being surrounded by nature. Because this property is located in a wooded setting, guests may encounter wildlife and seasonal elements during your stay.

Deer, squirrels, raccoons, turkeys, and other native wildlife are commonly seen throughout the area. The cabin is professionally treated for pests, though occasional insects such as spiders, mosquitoes, beetles, ladybugs, or wasps may still appear, particularly during seasonal transitions or rain.

During spring months, pollen from surrounding pine trees may collect on outdoor surfaces despite cleaning efforts before arrival.

Keeping doors and screens closed whenever possible helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment throughout your stay.

We encourage guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while remaining respectful of neighboring cabins and the natural environment. Sound travels easily throughout the forested area.

What To Bring
We recommend bringing groceries, condiments, cooking oils and seasonings, personal toiletries, coffee and creamers, bug spray for mosquitoes and ticks, ice, and firewood with fire starters for the outdoor firepit.

Starter Supply Details
Housekeeping provides a limited starter supply of essential items, including:

- Toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags
- Hand soap, dish soap, and cleaning supplies
- Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
- Dishwasher pods and laundry detergent
- Coffee supplies (pods, grounds, filters, creamer, sugar)
- Hot tub chlorine for guest use as directed

These items are intended to get your stay started and are not restocked.

WiFi Disclaimer
WiFi is provided as a convenience only and is not considered an essential service of the property. Because cabins are located in rural wooded areas, connectivity and speeds may vary due to weather conditions or regional outages.

Booked on a whim and it did not disappoint! Fantastic location next to the river, you are watching the water go by literally right out your windows. The weather had one more cold front in store so we spent time out by the fire both days. Bring your food and enjoy cooking on the May high end appliances available. We would go back again!

We loved this property. Tons of space for relaxing near the fire, hot tub, or wading/fishing in the river. The wildly tall bunk beds were great and were one of many unique features in the house. The lower deck with the fire table, hot tub, huge table for cards/hanging out was perfect even if it rained. There's games in the house and ponds on the grounds down the road for fishing or walking. We brought tubes for floating in the river, I tied a long rope from a tree branch to keep everyone from floating away. The only things we thought could be improved were very minor:-No blackout curtains in the rooms tall windows so sunlight lit them up early (but with kids rooming directly above, their stomping will wake you up anyway).-No bathroom/toilet downstairs on the deck or near the hot tub.-Some of the horseshoes were broken in half.-In the kitchen, cookware could've had a little more variety (that's just us being whiny...Cajuns don't know how to cook small meals lol).-One side of the glass on the fire table was broken/missing, doesn't affect anything. If you've never been to Broken Bow, highly recommend taking a full day to check out Beaver Bend State Park (about 40 min away from here). If you need groceries, avoid Wal-Mart, you want Pruett's. We absolutely wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again and even with the extremely minor things, it's still a 5/5 all day long. We'll very likely return when we need another getaway.

Thanks for the fantastic review — we're so glad you loved the house and made the most of the fire, hot tub, river, and those towering bunk beds. We appreciate the detailed feedback and local tips. We passed your notes along to our team about blackout options, cookware variety, the broken horseshoe and fire-table glass, and we’ll review what we can do about amenities. Hope to welcome you back to Treeline Vacation Rentals for another getaway soon!

Family had a great time!

This is a relaxing, and very prepared place, they had everything ready for us. I don't know if it is always set us for a family with young children, we were all set for the kids and grown-ups. We loved being on the river.

Best Place Ever

Right on the water. The deck is where we spent so much of our time. My daughter thought the massive tv plus hot tub was the best thing ever. I think my favorite is all the wild life. Deer with babies running around, fat squirrel visited us for snacks and even took a video of a huge bobcat across the river one morning. first time ever seeing one out in the wild like that. Perfect place, I can't say enough good things.

Beautiful cabin in an unbeatable location!

Loved this property. All the amenities you could ever need and more. Nice little graveled walkway right into the water for you and your kayak. Great firepit! Lower deck was huge and probably the most popular hangout of the entire place. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and all the furnishings were 5 star hotel quality. Highly recommended!

Relaxing

The cabin was amazing!!!! Right on the river and all the amenities you would need for the stay. Decorated to perfection!! Plenty of space for our family. Enjoyed playing board games provided. Favorite part was the covered outdoor area where we enjoyed meals and the hot tub.

Stunning views

We loved our stay here!! The cabin decor was absolutely beautiful and the views of the flowing river from the floor to ceiling windows were stunning! You can fish right out back. We even saw several kids enjoying a swim just a short way down. We had a blast playing the games and cards they had. My grandson discovered a chest of toys upstairs. The amenities are top notch. It’s clear the owners take pride in making sure the guests feel pampered. We will definitely book here again!

Peaceful and Relaxing

Behind Still Waters was a great place to stay for our family of 8. The river was so close and made each day peaceful! We always love a good cabin and thos one didn't disappoint. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed. We had an issue while there and they responded promptly. The maintence crew was very nice and fixed the issue. Will stay with Treeline again.

Almost 5 Stars

Wonderful property and beautiful surroundings, but missed the mark on some details that impacted amenities and experience. Inspections should always be done based on how guests see and use things. Management was quick to respond, but nothing was done to make up for any of it. I guess we did them a favor by bringing things to their attention. Some other misfortunes occurred but we decided not to say anything further. Maybe the next guest will discover for themselves. Until next time. Ciao!

Riverfront Luxury

We stayed here for the eclipse in April 2024 and had a fantastic experience. The home is fully equipped with every amenity and luxury you could want and everything was clean and functional. The view of the river from the many windows in the home was spectacular and the open air deck was so relaxing. The only complaint I had was about the roads leading to the property (not the fault of the property owner, so not taking any stars off for sure). The rural roads off of the highway you have to traverse to get to the cabin are really rough so just be aware of that and make sure your vehicle can handle it.

Powerful stay!

We booked ‘Beside Still Waters’ for our family/friend trip, and loved our stay. The kids loved fishing in the river! While we were there the weather wasn’t the best and it stormed pretty bad causing the power to go out. We contacted the host after about 3 hours of no power and they told us it should be on within the hour. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case be we did not have to worry, they called us back and offered another cabin for us to stay in for the remainder of our stay. ‘Headed West’ was just as nice, the kids loved the slide off the deck! We will definitely book with Treeline Vacation Rentals again and recommend them to our friends and family!

First of all, the cabin is gorgeous and the location beautiful. Our issue is with TreeLine Vacation Rentals. To recap our experience:Friday: No one provided the information that there was a locked gate. Arrived after dark and had to wait for someone to respond with code.Saturday: discovered mouse droppings in pantry and along wall. Discovered wad of hair in bottom of unused shower. We reported mouse droppings and hair in drain. Was told housekeeping would be out to address both. Later we saw mouse run along front wall into cabinet by fireplace. We checked back in on housekeeping. No response. We then discovered mouse droppings cooked into our biscuits assume from the cookware. Reported. They offered to send pest control. Later that evening we. Checked back in. No response. Saturday night: received notification pest control would not be coming on weekend. No mention of housekeeping. So we: drove to town to purchase mouse traps and replaced food. Sunday morning they offered 150.00 compensation for the mouse and cleaning issue. Sunday morning: reported we purchased our own supplies and caught mouse. Sent photo of mouse on pad underneath the cabinet. They offered to replace Money for supplies and food. I responded we would take the compensation of 150.00 plus for supplies, food and trip to town. I asked how we would receive the compensation. At this point they stopped responding. Super disappointed. Not what you expect for a 3500 stay.

The house had everything needed and was very pretty. The AC is terrible, will not hold a temp that is set. Monitored online by someone else. Upstairs was HOT! The house provided a fan, and we brought a fan, but it was not enough. The river has boats that run up and down the river FAST! We could not allow kids to play in the middle of the river as boats could run them over. They did not even slow down when they saw kids on the sides of the water. The host company is HARD to deal with and English was hard to understand. Then nowhere on the listing did it say that the property is in a gated entrance WITH A CODE TO GET IN! No one answered the phones, and I would get sent to a message center. They would only text. I kept asking for a gate code, and they kept giving me a door code to the house. They had never been to the property and didn't realize we needed a gate entrance code, nor was it in the booking email. We drove around for AN HOUR trying to find our way in since no one would provide code. We drove in when someone drove out. The listing did say that some maps would not get you to the property, so we thought we were in the wrong place as well. BUT the email did not give turn-by-turn directions either! If maps don't work..... give turn-by-turn directions! And no answer from the phone number. Electricity also went out while we were there. Not house's fault, but no one answered the phone, so we couldn't report the outage to the electric company for an hour. Zero wifi.
