The Condo looked just like the pictures online and check in and check out was easy. The view of the pool and ocean was beautiful. We had a great time and would stay there again.

The only real issue we had was the sliding door was hard to open and shut and a bolt was rusted and broke off on one of the balcony chairs. Other than that everything was perfect.

There is a Publix grocery store right before you turn onto Okaloosa Island this is probably about three miles from the condo itself. There are also several restaurants in the local Fort Walton Beach area (inc the Black Pearl Crab trap Helen several others that would be highly recommended) that are local favorites, I'm sorry that to hear that you drove into to Destin for these things as it was certainly not necessary! We are glad you got to indulge in the spectacular views of the gulf from this the Islander 4008 and got some much needed beach time in! We hope to see you next summer, don't forget to take advantage of your returning guest discount if you are considering returning!

Thank you for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience. The boardwalk required emergency repair and it was an unforeseen event. The repairs have been made. There is also a boardwalk on the East side of the property.

A large balcony overlooking the pool. There were a couple of small issues that I reported and they were taken care of that day. Great response time. I highly recommend this property and will stay here again!

Not worth it

The condo was dirty. All trash cans had urine in the bottom of them, there was no broom to sweep up the sand, the vacuum didn’t work. The pool was not kept clean. You had to drive anywhere you wanted to go. Was promised an umbrella and chairs, but everyone was reserving them and when I asked about that was told , for a healthy tip they would reserve one for me. I do not recommend staying there.

We are so sorry to hear that your stay was not enjoyable, we would have gladly sent our housekeeping department over right away to take care of the issues in the condo if only you had notified us. We do provide a beach set up for all of our guests, however they are not reserved. There is always a set available for all of our guests.

Bed bugs

Not acceptable after a 8 hour drive and unpacking including groceries, at 11 pm going to bed we discovered bed bugs it was horrible. We called the host management and we had to move to another unit in the middle of the night (pack again) we were only able to stay that night because that unit was reserved the next day. The next day we had to pack our car again and moved to a totally different complex and unpack again. The complex was not acceptable as it was totally different from what we originally reserved and wanted, but we different have a choice. The only thing the host manager would do is allow us one free night because of the situation. We appreciate that but 2 days of moving and a place we didn’t like is unacceptable. Be aware and I would not recommend renting from this management company. I hopefully it was exterminated before anyone else rented that room after us.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was in a perfect location on Okaloosa Island. The beach was absolutely beautiful and was just steps away. The pool was heated and was never too crowded. The condo was roomy and we loved the huge balcony with lots of seating. The paint on the cabinets in the kitchen and master bath were peeling off and the dishwasher would tip over as it was not secured under the cabinet. It was advertised that the sleeper sofa was brand new, but this was not the case. The mattress was very thin and slanted down. Quite uncomfortable! Overall, we enjoyed our stay here due to the great location right on the ocean. We would come back!

Thank you greatly for taking the time to leave us a review of your recent stay in unit 4008 at the Islander. This is a great condo, with great upgrades. The cabinets have been measured and new doors are on the way, this is a timely process so we appreciate your patience. The sleeper was purchased brand new last year in 2017, and features the new 5" Memory Foam are so disappointed to hear negative feedback from this new sleeper, our general manager is going to get in there and inspect the shape of this sleeper/mattress to make sure it's up to standards. We appreciate you staying with Brooks and Shorey and we look forward to welcoming you back to the beautiful Emerald Coast as soon as your schedule allows!!

Property management was great and very easy to communicate and work with. Clean condo. Excellent spot on the be as ch that wasn't as busy as other areas on the island. Greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint is that I specifically booked a master bedroom with access to the balcony which I did not get. When asked to be moved you wanted another $600+. I was GREATLY disappointed and obviously didn't move. Also, basics, such as coffee filters, dish soap, laundry soap, should be provided.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great low key stay with minimal crowds. Overall, clean condo. The floor of the master bath tub/shower needs a deep scrub, the wall behind the toilet was missed when bathroom was painted and the area rug needs to be steam cleaned under the dining table and the one in the hallway needs replaced or cleaned.

Nice Complex

Property was clean and well maintained. Convenient to every attraction and restaurant we wanted.

Annual Florida Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the room with the space and location. The room was very clean and we were able to get in our room early thanks to the fantastic management! The kitchen had the most dishes and large pots and pans than any place we have ever stayed! The appliances were top knotch! Only missed a meat turner for grill and only had 4 steak knives. The kitchen table had seen better days and the wicker chairs in the family room were not comfortable. We always had hot water for showers. The beds were very comfortable. We played putt putt at Wild Willy's Adventure Zone and loved the take out at Stewby's Seafood Shanty!!
