The Sea of Cortez is the same area that inspired greats like Ernest Hemingway, Zane Grey and John Steinbeck. This part of Mexico was the playground for Bing Crosby, John Wayne, Desi Arnaz and so many other famous entertainers from Hollywood. Even today we have many young stars that come to Baja Sur to recharge their batteries and play. The Villas at Rancho de Costa will calm your soul and strengthen your character. During these most hectic times it is so important to reconnect with loved ones and friends. When we go about our daily routines the days pass by so quickly that we lose touch with the ones we love. Take the time to share your life with family and friends. No one has ever said in their golden years that they wished they had spent more time at work. One phone call and our staff will handle all the details. Whether it is a family vacation, wedding, honeymoon, corporate retreat or just a weekend get a way, let us worry about the details. We invite you to Rancho to enjoy the Mexican people and their way of life. Their culture is so rich in family tradition and caring for others. Enjoy the service and the carefree lifestyle while our staff takes care of your every need. This villa is a spacious 17,800 sq ft . of pure entertainment!

Amazing!! Beautiful beyond description!
I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful this property is. Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe it! So peaceful. Your own private paradise! The food is incredible. The staff so nice and treat you like family. They meet your every need. Immaculate! Just wonderful in every way. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. I will return the first chance I get! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would :)
This is paradise on earth
Rancho de Costa is paradise defined. There is not one detail we would change. The hardworking staff is attentive to every possible detail. The meals are delicious and pack wonderful and new flavors into every bite. The property is very clean and has amenity you and your family could want in a beach vacation. We don't want to go anywhere else in MX.
Stayed at Rancho Costa multiple times and each visit is amazing. Overall experience continues to be 1st class, from the rooms, service and made to order food including the day's fresh catch. Our favorite vacation destination with out a doubt!
Rest, relaxation, Mexican culture, and MAD fishing!
Our family of 5 (kids 14, 12, and 9) spent 5 days at Rancho de Costa this summer. Amazingly, it was cooler than in Colorado Springs that week!
First of all, the setting is absolutely unbelievable! The compound is quite remote, but not a bad drive from Cabo San Lucas, where we flew in. It's set on the waterfront, on one of the few calm, white sand beaches on the Sea of Cortez. At one end of the beach, there's a coral peninsula, ideal for snorkeling with the kids and lots of colorful reef fish. From that peninsula, there's about a mile of secluded white sand beach, bordered by sand dunes. It was great to boogie board, swim, and paddleboard in the ocean with the option of retreating to the salt water pool at the compound if we wanted closer access to the shade and food/ libations under the palapa.
Speaking of the food and drink, the setup is somewhat unique. There's a permanent staff at the resort who cater to your food and drink needs. There's free access to the kitchen, where drinks and food are prepared. The staff is so friendly! They taught my wife how to make traditional Mexican salsa, which we now make frequently back in the States. Mealtime is flexible and we enjoyed all of ours (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner) under the huge palapa, even when eating late at night. The open air eating was one of our favorite aspects of the trip and one of the reasons that we'll be booking again. The quality of food was quite unexpected too. As "foodies" we were really impressed by the seemingly endless gourmet meals.
There's great access to world-class fishing, if you're so inclined. I went out every morning with local guides. We caught tuna, dorado, and snapper most days. Coming back to the resort and dropping the fish off with the kitchen staff is a real treat! They're happy to prepare whatever you catch. Eating tuna hours after it's caught will reset your standards for "fresh."
The rooms are beautiful and clean. Ours had a sweeping view of the ocean and if we cracked our glass doors, we could hear the ocean all night. Air conditioning is quiet and effective.
Overall, it was one of the best vacations our family has ever taken. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, we really connected with our kids. Between fishing together, building human pyramids in the pool, searching for sea shells, and snorkeling together, I don't think we've ever had more fun. Thank you to the hosts - we'll certainly be back!
Paradise on this side of Heaven!
If you desire to truly get away for rest, relaxation and restoration, then the Bay of Dreams should be your choice! Private beach, with as much or as little activity you desire. Snorkeling, world class fishing, paddle boarding, shell collecting, horseback riding, massage, pool, theatre, tennis. The amazing chefs prepare your fresh caught fish. Staff is amazing and property immaculate! Fun for a group of friends, family reunion, or special occasion.
Outstanding Secluded Destination
Everything about this property will exceed your expectations!! The accommodations are luxurious, the rooms are always pristine, and the palapa (Covered outdoor area) is phenomenal! The beach is every bit as beautiful as the pictures show. Johnny (Chef) creates the most phenomenal meals!! This is the second time I've stayed at Rancho De Costa, and it will always be my first choice for a getaway!! Also, it's nice that the property has a movie theatre, gym, and tennis court on site. Plenty to do if you aren't fishing or swimming!!
18-hole golf course, tennis and basketball courts, hiking trails and a private airport with a 5,000 ft. runway.
