We’re glad you enjoyed many of the features that make this property so special — from the clean water and sandy beach to the water toys, and the convenience of an on-site washer and dryer and it being so close to Bancroft for all your needs. Many guests find the property very well priced for all that it offers. Tait Lake is indeed a beautiful setting for fishing, swimming, and family fun. We do want to address a few of your comments as they can be quite subjective — many of our guests (including a number of repeat visitors) have found the cabin very comfortable, charming, and well-appointed for a true lakeside getaway. The property is not “overgrown” but intentionally kept in a natural state, as reflected in the listing photos, to preserve the environment, its privacy and wilderness feel. Furniture and mattresses are always a matter of personal preference — what some find too firm, others find just right. That said, we will take another look at the outdoor seating and BBQ to see what may need replacing. As for linens, they are laundered between each stay. Finally, while the cottage is set on a hill (as noted in the listing), many guests appreciate the elevated setting for the peace, privacy, and views it provides. We’re glad you recognized the many positives the property offers, and while some of your concerns reflect individual preference, the owner is always open to feedback to keep improving.
