This place was AMAZING!!! The only issue we saw was that the bedroom with the bigger bunks-the top bunk is held together with a c-clamp, not safe for anyone that has much weight on them.

That is incorrect. The top bunk is held together with numerous bolts and is quite safe. The C clamp is simply to add a bit of extra stability to the stairs. There is nothing safe about it and it is rated to hold 500lbs. I did explain this to you earlier so I am confused as to why it ended up in your review.
This trip was our Christmas gift to our adult children. It couldn't have been more perfect for our family. Lots to do, right on the water and the accommodations were great with all the little touches thought of. We will definitely be back!!

Hello Linda! I am so glad that our property fit your family's needs perfectly as you said! This is the first time we have not received a 5 star rating. I am always looking for ways to improve guest's experience and would love to know what kept you from rating us a 5 in all areas. Thank you so much for choosing us!
P.S. I can't see which area was rated a 4.
The pictures, the description, all of it spot on! We rented both properties for a work event at the neighboring River campsite. The property was clean, well maintained, plenty of space to park, spread out and explore. Both houses had a fully stocked coffee & tea bar, games, bug spray (which we forgot, but replaced) and too many accommodations to list. Communication with the owner was super simple and timely.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We will be back.

Thank you so much for choosing us! I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and we hope you come back again next year for the festival! I also appreciate your communication and for taking such great care of the houses and property. We would love to have you back anytime!!!
This was our second time staying at the Chillinois cabins, first time in the Brice House. Have to say even though it's a bit smaller we enjoyed the outside space more. With the different levels of the deck and the patio area and fire pit we had a great time relaxing outdoors. We stay here when we float the river and we do the 9 mile with All American. It takes us past the Chillinois cabins so we always make a pit stop there, it's so great. We love the private river access for fishing and the kids like swimming and jumping off the big float that's provided. One thing I think would make it even better is if there were some kayaks. When we're inside the kids love playing the karaoke machines and instruments. Plenty to keep them entertained! Beds are clean and comfy but there's only two beds for adult couples, so keep in mind. I definitely recommend I don't think you'll be disappointed!
My grandbabies all have grown, now ranging from middle school to college. Every year they all come over to trim my Christmas tree then we craft an ornament or cookies and we movie, game & munch through the weekend. We have 8 G-Babies, a couple that added a plus on since '22. This year we trimmed the tree then headed for the Chillinois! This home housed us all more comfortably than we can at the homestead and we had a WONDERFUL time. The grands just loved going down to fish in between planned activities!
