We recently stayed at the Miss Bee Haven. Jenn was a great host - literally left the lights on for us as we arrived after dark and storming. The house was tucked away in the mountains and it was very cleaned and equipped with the basics. The overlook from the back deck was so beautiful. Very restful and relaxing.
What a beautiful cabin! We absolutely loved staying here. Very relaxing, clean, comfortable, gorgeous views, quiet, hummingbirds buzzing around - couldn’t ask for more. Jenn was a very gracious host and provided lots of extras that helped make our trip special. Had a few scary turns on the road in - 4 wheel drive was definitely helpful! But once we got to the cabin it was totally worth the drive.
This cabin is worth it for the view alone!! I could have stayed on the deck taking in the breathtaking view all day. But the cabin itself is gorgeous- immaculate, beautiful, and full of charm. The host Jenn has thought of absolutely everything. There wasn’t anything we could have needed that she didn’t provide- it was very generous! From extra food in the fridge to toiletry items, candles for ambience, bath bombs, and great books for reading! We enjoyed the outdoor tub as well!! We felt refreshed and rejuvenated and full of peace after staying in this beautiful cabin! You will drive for awhile up a gravel mountain road to get here- the road is well maintained, and when you get to the house you will be on the top of a mountain and you’ll have total privacy. It’s well worth the drive! If you’re looking for a private, peaceful place to get away and experience beauty, this is the place!
This is by far the best cabin and host that we ever stayed with. The host was super nice and she had everything you could possibly need already in the cabin. Words can’t describe how amazing this place truly is. I would recommend MissBeeHaven a million times over. If the Host reads this we can’t thank you enough for everything.
My wife and I stayed for a couple nights just to get away and see the mountains. Our stay could not have been better! The cottage was clean, modern, well-appointed, and beautifully decorated with a bee theme. The owner was very responsive to our needs. The view from the deck is incomparable. If you’re looking for a cozy, romantic getaway, this is it. We will definitely be back!
The property is absolutely gorgeous. Everything from cleanliness to what they provide. The beds are super comfortable and the fireplace was cozy and easy to use. The view is stunning, I can’t imagine what it’s like during the fall with the foliage. We truly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back.
Miss Bee Haven Retreat is everything you could want out of a vacation and so much more. My husband and I were able to get there safely in my sedan, but a truck would have been better for twisty mountain roads. When you arrive at the end of the gravel road to the home you feel like you're about to enter a story book. The home was welcoming and spotless from the moment you enter. I loved the welcome table with local honey, tourist information, and dog supplies. As you walk through the kitchen and look out the back windows to see the beauty of uninhabited mountains. We have stood in a lot of cabin rentals from Gatlinburg, TN to Bryson City, NC... Miss Bee Haven Retreat ranks #1 for us. The home has so many comfortable seating options inside and out to get comfortable and enjoy the view with some hot tea or coffee. Our host Jenn and Joe were extremely welcoming and informative. They let us know they lived nearby and would be happy to help us with anything we may have been missing. They have been listing the property on AirB for years, but we were their first VRBO booking. The house was fully stocked with anything I thought of. My husband and I always pack spices and cooking essentials when we use rentals, this time we ended up leaving most things packed. The outdoor clawfoot tub was amazing, the indoor bathrooms also very nice with a great water heater. The tap water was the clean and refreshing. I loved so many things about the cabin. I can't wait to rebook!

About the host
Hosted by Jenn
I retired from a tedious gig in NY and moved to NC to become a beekeeper. Having a rental property next door to my home keeps me busy. While I am a new host on VRBO, I have been a super host elsewhere since July of 2021, and have plenty of experience providing consistent 5 star stays for all guests! I love sharing our rental with people who love nature and enjoy immersing themselves in it. I also love teaching people about bees and beekeeping. If you've ever wanted to go inside a beehive, contact me about taking a tour at my apiary! Full suits & gloves provided. April-July.
Why they chose this property
We moved to this community in 2016. We chose it because we love nature and peace and quiet. This road has traffic very rarely and the cabin is located at the very end of the road so it is very private. It is a lucky thing to live somewhere where you can almost completely remove yourself from the world of man made noise & light pollution. We are 17 miles from Brevard, so it is advisable that you do all your shopping before arriving at the cabin.
What makes this property unique
When I began planning this rental I first thought about who it would be for. I envisioned it as a place where a couple or close friends could spend time in nature without a lot of distractions from normal life in an unforgettable setting. I wanted to provide people with all the little things that make a place feel like home but still leave enough space where you could hang your hat and stash your belongings without a fuss.
