The main floor of this custom built log home includes 1 bedroom with a double size bed, a bathroom, full eat-in kitchen, a utility area with a washer and dryer and living room with a wood burning stove and satellite TV. Upstairs includes 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with 2 twin size beds, and a bathroom. There is a large porch overlooking the Nine Mile Creek. The home sits on a secluded 23 acres, with one side of the property bordering National Forest and one side bordering the Nine Mile Creek. The views are breathtaking. The log home provides an excellent vacation retreat for seasonal golfing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, skiing, hunting and fishing. Walk out the door and within 100 feet you can be fishing in the Nine Mile Creek and other world famous Montana trout fishing rivers are all within an hour’s drive. Missoula, with its many fine restaurants and shops is only 40 minutes away by car. Missoula is served by an airport with multiple flights by major airlines each day as well as several car rental agencies.

The property was very nicely furnished with tasteful decoration. We definitely would rebook if in that area again. No fault to property owner but the location in the mountains, we did not have cell service. We did fine without cell phone. They did have a land line but we tried not to use, not knowing what charges to expect. We definitely would recommend to others.

This cabin is so beautiful and amazing! We arrived in the middle of the night and couldn’t find it. Called Susan but she was sleeping - left her a message got a hotel and she refunded the night we missed. She reached out first thing in the morning. By daylight and with a short chat with her we easily found it. What a gem! We hope to go back some day! This cabin is rustic as in remote and no cell reception - but has everything you could possibly need to cook, and fish and enjoy the location. So peaceful!

Best little cabin in the woods

The stay couldn’t have been better. We loved how secluded it is and the creek was fun to cool off in, fish, and just listen to. Lots of wildlife around too.

This place is very beautiful and very clean. If you’re wanting a remote camp trip this is for you. BUT you should be aware of a few things before booking. This place is 100000% remote, no service and no WiFi. This would have been fine (if we had known) but we were planing to work and could not due to the no WiFi. Also you need to bring a truck. The road up to the door destroyed the under side of my car because the ruts are so deep on either side . Getting there was very hard. It took us 45 min longer because the pin does not work. Follow the step by step directions the owners give not the pin in the listing. Also there are no blinds so be ready for an early wake up call with the sun. We made it work. And it was a good experience, just a lot of little things that added up to a lot of frustration because we were not prepared for any of it.

I am so very sorry that you were disappointed. I agree that staying in a remote cabin in Montana is not ideal for working remotely. I have added to the listing that there is no internet and no cell phone service. I drive on that road in my small suv and don't really think a truck is necessary. I will see about having the road repaired if necessary next month. I wish I could make your trip better. This is the worst review I have received in all the years I have rented. I will try to do better.
