Concerning & Disappointing
We booked the home for a 5 night stay. We met the host at the home and were immediately uncomfortable staying there. Within an hour, we all decided to leave the property and check into a hotel. We did not stay a single night there.
I contacted the host about our decision and was pushed back to VRBO. No solution was offered.
Overall the home was not very clean and was under-furnished. Three of the bedrooms were in a garage structure separate from the house and looked like unpermitted construction. The exterior of the garage had some exposed electrical wiring that also looked unsafe. None of the familes felt safe letting their children sleep there.
The main house furnishings were sparse and uncomfortable. Bathrooms did not seem clean and toilet paper rolls were empty. There was an awkward loft area with a large TV and empty floor. No furniture.
The bedrooms just had beds shoved into them along with TVs. Every room with a TV had an antenna that was screwed to the wall above the TV. It was odd.
The laundry room had the washer and dryer pulled away from the wall as if there was an unresolved problem with them.
The kitchen was significantly under stocked with supplies for the size of the home. There was a lack of plates, cookware, etc. It also did nto feel clean.
The pool and hot tub do not work and there is no heater.
The surrounding neighborhood made us uncomfortable as well.
Clearly, I would not recommend. I wish I was more diligent before booking.
