Summary:

Welcome to Shark Bait, a charming 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom suite nestled in Seabrook's Beach District. Perfect for families or couples, this cozy retreat offers a warm, home-away-from-home vibe. Just a short stroll across the bridge, dive into the excitement of downtown Hampton Beach, with its array of delicious restaurants, lively entertainment, and iconic boardwalk. Surrounded by pristine beaches, you're free to choose your perfect seaside adventure!



The Space:

Shark Bait is a 1 bedroom suite. There is a full kitchen, living room, and bathroom. You have a private entry as well!



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire suite. Shark Bait has 1 parking spot which are located directly in front of the suite on the 301 Portsmouth Ave side of the building.



The Neighborhood:

Shark Bait is located in Seabrook Village - Beach District. We are surrounded by ocean. You can pick which beach you go to. Located in a quiet neighborhood, great for bike riding, walks, etc.



Getting Around:

Shark Bait has 1 parking spot which are located directly in front of the suite on the 301 Portsmouth Ave side of the building. There are no assigned parking spots. If you have more than 1 vehicle you will need to find parking in an alternative lot for the second vehicle. There are paid parking lots around the boardwalk or there is the Hampton Park & Ride that allows free overnight parking.

We do not offer refunds, credits, or date changes due to inclement weather, storms, hurricanes, tropical systems, excessive heat or cold, poor beach conditions, beach closures, water quality advisories, red flag warnings, or any other weather- or government-related conditions that may impact your stay or the use of local attractions. These circumstances are outside of our control and do not constitute grounds for a refund.



We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in the event your trip is affected by unforeseen weather or other covered circumstances.

Anniversary Getaway

We enjoyed the calm color scheme of this unit. The decor, color, and simplicity allowed us the opportunity to relax away from home. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and everything we wanted to do or see was only a short walk or drive away.

Had an amazing time! Hosts are awesome w/ communication & checking up on you!!! Beach right down the street, went deep sea fishing through Eastman’s which was right across the street from the neighborhood where this cute vacay spot is located & short drive to Hampton shops/restaurants!! Will be booking here again for future beach stays!!!

Excellent Location, Lovely Unit

The one bedroom unit was plenty large enough for two adults. The location was great with two beaches nearby plus Hampton over the bridge. Fireworks were amazing on the 4th! Host was helpful and responsive. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed her for our August 2024 vacation. This place was amazing. Had everything you needed for the beach and so much more. Super clean, great amenities and the cutest decor. We will definitely come here again next year.

The property was “as advertised”. Within walking distance of the beach, the bay, a food market and a few good restaurants. We were very happy staying here.

While we appreciate that unexpected issues can happen, we were disappointed with our overall experience.Shortly after we arrived, the refrigerator stopped working, which disrupted our vacation and caused concern about the groceries we had brought with us. Although the refrigerator was eventually replaced, the communication throughout the process could have been much better.We were also disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. Several dishes, silverware, and the coffee pot still had food residue on them, and the shower floor was not as clean as we expected. Having to clean these items ourselves was not something we anticipated when arriving at the rental.After our stay, we reached out to discuss our concerns and hoped for compensation that reflected the inconvenience we experienced. Unfortunately, we felt the initial response did not adequately address the situation. We were also surprised to be accused of harassment and given only 24hrs to make a decision after attempting to renegotiate a fair compensation.Overall, while the location was enjoyable, the combination of the refrigerator issue, cleanliness concerns, communication, and the aggressive/threatening way our concerns were handled left us disappointed. We hope these issues are addressed so future guests have a better experience.Thankfully, VRBO understood all of our concerns and after reviewing all of the messages. Provided us with a very fair compensation, which we were seeking all along.

For an accurate record, we'd like to respond directly. When the refrigerator failed — an issue entirely outside our control — we installed a brand-new unit within three hours of your first message, updating you at every step, including while out purchasing it. That effort was met with little understanding. The fridge held mostly beverages and produce that don't spoil, (and were still cold when we swapped all the groceries to the new fridge) the few perishable items, we offered to replace. Even so, the request was to reimburse an entire grocery haul the contents didn't support. Cleanliness is our top priority: every unit is closely inspected after each cleaning, and the items you describe were not present at inspection. Notably, these were raised only after we declined compensation — not during your stay, when we could have resolved them immediately. We still apologized and refunded your cleaning fee in full. When no resolution was reached, we made three good-faith offers to make it right (refund of the cleaning fee and a reimbursement for your time with the fridge), yet the demands continued to escalate. VRBO reviewed the entire message history, found no refund was warranted, advised no further communication was necessary, and closed the matter. As a courtesy, we compensated you for the fridge and cleaning regardless. The record speaks for itself, and future guests can expect the clean, responsive hospitality the vast majority of ours enjoy.

Perfect

This was the perfect place for us. This was our honeymoon week and we did a lot of fishing at Eastmans. Local restaurants are very close by and many to choose from. Overall the perfect spot for us. We will definitely be back next year. Maybe sooner.

Incredible Stay at Shark Bait – Highly Recommend! I just wanted to share how much we loved our stay at Shark Bait! The house was absolutely perfect, so clean, fresh, and clearly well taken care of. It had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. What really stood out, though, was the communication. Quick responses and even a thoughtful check-in halfway through our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly, something that’s surprisingly rare these days. It made the experience feel personal and easy from start to finish. We’d definitely return, not only because of how great the house was, but because of the amazing service we received. Lovely Weekend Get-away

My partner and I decided to celebrate his birthday by going to the beach. This apartment is within walking distance of good restaurants and beautiful beaches. It is clean and neatly organized. It is on the ground floor of a 3-level building, and you can hear the people upstairs walking around. The bed is very soft. We were only in the apartment one night, so these things didn't bother us much. The weather was gorgeous and we had a lovely time.
