A beautiful Vilano Beach home that is a few minute walk to enjoy the this beach that a good spot for collecting shells and lucky visitors might also find a shark tooth or even a piece of sea glass. One may also spot a dolphin or two playing in the ocean! Beach Facilities available at Surfside Beach Park include, Restrooms, Pavilion
Picnic tables and Grills! This home is close to many great restaurants, shopping and grocery store, beautiful historic downtown St Augustine is a 5 minute drive. This is a an updated home decorated with a beach theme. It has a total of 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. This home has a washer/dryer, Smart Tv's with RoKu, wrap around deck on the upper level and an additional deck with grill in the rear lower level. Enjoy the private back yard. Pets will be considered with a separate deposit. Parking spaces for 4 cars.

Cozy spot in st augustine

We wanted a quiet place close to the beach and this was great for a few families and kids. Duplex setup was perfect for the adults with no kids to sleep separately. Plenty of things within walking distance on the beach (beach is 2 min walk) and you’re far enough from the actual public beach so it’s not too crowded.Enjoyed the weekend, thanks!

Great house near the beach

The separate upstairs and downstairs worked well for a 3 generation holiday- the grandparents could have quiet time downstairs! Beautiful beach a 3-minute walk away. Although you have to cross a fairly busy street drivers frequently stopped for pedestrians trying to cross. Wi-Fi worked well. Verandas to sit out, space for kids to hang out. Playground and pickleball court in the next street a bonus. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Great location very close to the beach!

Our stay was for a family reunion/bday & graduation celebrations where we wanted to be near a nice beach. This house delivered. We really enjoyed having the two separate spaces to stay in as we had some older and younger family members that were able to spread out. The beach is a very short walk down the street with a very nice public park. We did have one issue that happened during our stay and the owners had it resolved within a couple of hours. Their responsiveness was impressive. Highly recommend this property if you have a larger group that wants to be very close to the beach, but not beachfront.

Great Property Excellent Location

This property is really two units at one location which makes it ideal for larger groups or accommodating visitors. Very comfortable, well equipped, and the host is very accessible. What really stood out to us was the location. Vilano Beach has a real neighborhood feel as opposed to the over commercialized feel of so many beach communities. Yet anything you could possibly want is within a 10-15 minute drive. The beautiful and excellent walking beach is a 3 minute walk from your door step. You can actually see night time rocket launches at Cape Canaveral from the beach. TPC Sawgrass, home of the Player Championship, is just 30 minutes up the beach. And the GTM estuary reserve give you a chance to see the Florida beach geography in its natural state. All in all an excellent spot for your exploration of this part of Florida.

Positive points: - You are very close to the beach - Ac, heater - tv available - comfy beds - clean house - parking available on the propert Negative points first floor: - Missing dishes, you’ll need to go upstairs alot. - No oven only a hotplate - Broken dishwasher - The washing machine will stain your clothes Negative points upstairs: - Very small washer and dryer. - Dishwasher racks are starting to give up - Loud bathroom fan - the dressers are old and hard to open in 2/3 rooms Other: - no baby crib - no high chair - You’ll have to cross a road where peoples drive 50+mph to go to the beach - You have to clean your towels, your dishes (i can understand) and empty garbage even if you pay $$$ in cleaning fees - The house could benefit a nice up to date renovations Overall all of the guests that stayed there gave it 2.5 stars

Paul-Andre, I'm sorry to see your negative review and want to address your complaints. I offered my number for any questions and could have cleared up some of your issues if I'd known. I know your from Quebec, Canada and the only English speaker in your party so some of your concerns maybe because a misunderstanding of my VRBO listing. The lower level isn't listed as having a stove or dishwasher because it is against our City code, we are zoned as a single family. The lower level washer/dryer is not listed either because it is for my cleaning crew to use only. The upper level has an Washer/Dryer combo and is brand new . My listing doesn't include a crib or a highchair, and isn't stated that way . The speed limit is 40 MPH on AIA. AS an Alternative heir is a free public beach parking lot at the end of the street, so you don't have to cross AIA, that you walked by on the way to the beach! The cleaning fee is a reimbursable expense to my cleaning crew, to clean and wash bedding for 5 bedrooms /4 bathrooms, two kitchens and living rooms. My home has all updated kitchens and bathrooms with new counters, cabinets, and the exterior/windows last summer.

Beautiful Home

The location of this house is perfect! Not only are you steps from the beach but you are also a 5 minute drive from the historic district. Inside the house is cozy and comfortable. We loved having two levels and separate living areas so that everyone had their own space. But the gem of this house is the amazing, spacious yard and the outdoor living area. My favorite part was the beautiful wrap around porch upstairs with plenty of space to have dinner on the deck. I'd walk around to enjoy all the views and have my morning coffee on the comfortable Adirondacks, but the real treat is at night when all the stars are out. The property managers touched base before, during and after and you can tell they had a personal interest in our experience, which was greatly appreciated. After we arrived home I realized I left two bags in the bathroom cabinet. The property managers not only went back to the house to get it for me they also mailed it out immediately, which was greatly appreciated since I had medication inside and I thought I was going to have to drive back 10 hours round-trip to get it. We were thrilled to have been the first guests and we truly had an amazing stay and will definitely visit again. We wish the property managers much success on this new venture and any future renters a wonderful time.

Great location!

We stayed here as a family group for a week for Christmas. There were 9 adults and 3 very young children. Having 5 separate bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was very helpful for a group our size, although it's just worth noting that (as it says in the listing) the rooms are split between separate upstairs and downstairs units that are joined by an outdoor staircase. In some ways it was helpful to have that separation for children's naps or people who wanted to stay up later at night, but it could have been more of a hassle if we had a lot of rain. The location is excellent: about 1.5 blocks to the ocean beach in one direction, about 1-2 blocks to a nice park in another direction. The park had a basketball court, a tennis court, and a pickleball court, as well as a nice playground for the kids. There's a dog park there as well. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and has a charming variety of large and small homes. There's a Publix grocery store just a couple minutes away. We mainly cooked for ourselves but there are plenty of places to dine out in the nearby area, and then St Augustine is just across the bridge. The owners were friendly and good communicators. They seem eager to make sure their guests have a good stay. Any negatives? The home is a bit older so it has some quirky bathroom layouts and could use some fresh paint, etc. Extra seating and supplies of all kinds are needed to accommodate a larger group like us in one place.

Great Location - Great Potential

The location couldn't be beat - we enjoyed the very easy walk to the beach multiple times a day and the drive to the attractions was close and easy. I rented this house because I needed all 5 bedrooms so I used the top and bottom apartments together. I believed that each apartment was fully equipped but found out that they were not. The bottom apartment was the 2 bedroom but had the larger fridge and table. It also had a dishwasher that didn't work and a washer and dryer that could not be used. There was no oven or stove either but rather a 2-burner hotplate instead. The top apartment had 3 bedrooms but a small fridge and table as well as a washer and dryer and a dishwasher that worked but didn't clean. Ultimately, we ended up having to store some of our fridge stuff downstairs, carry it upstairs to cook, downstairs to eat at the big table, sometimes back upstairs to clean and then return it all back to both either upstairs or downstairs. The kitchen on the top level was better stocked than the one on the bottom but neither was stocked as well as we typically have with renting a house and we ended up having to purchase some items to donate to the cause. The house was clean and the manager accessible but if I had rented only one of the units, it would have been a problem. With a little bit of moving furniture between the 2 units, adding to the kitchens and investing on getting everything working and usable, the house(s) will work better for future guests.

Thanks for letting me know about the dishwasher…I gave you my number and asked you to contact me if you needed anything, unfortunately you didn’t let us know about the dishwasher problem until you checked out. I appreciate all donations but couldn’t find anything that wasn’t there except paper napkins, so thanks for those. As described in our listing the lower level offers a kitchenette with no dishwasher/stove due to county code regulations as a single family property.

We have lived in this area for 19 years, moved from Los Angeles, and we were both raised in New England. We love this area so much we bought a second home here! We love the beach, especially collecting shells and shark teeth, boogie boarding and swimming in the beautiful warm waters. We also love Serenata Beach club for the gym, social happy hour and pools/Hot tub! We offer a guest pass for an additional fee for our renters to enjoy all of these amenities too! We are avid travelers, have traveled all over the world to scuba dive and have stayed in many Short Term rentals. Surfside Serenity has all amenities that we enjoy while staying in a short term rental!

This neighborhood is wonderful for it's close proximity to all that Saint Augustine has to offer. Beach, shopping, restaurants and historic St. Augustine's sites, activities, concerts, and more restaurants and shopping! Additionally we have pickle ball, tennis and basketball and a kids playground a block away.

Our property is unique because it has two floors that can be separate units as each floor has it's separate locked entrance. Each floor is accessed by exterior doors only. This makes it very private for families traveling with relatives that like their "own space" but still want to be all together on one property.
