About the property

Oceanfront 4BD/4.5BA Beacon's Reach home. Private boardwalk to spacious beach

New to the rental market in 2014, this comfortable oceanfront home awaits you in the secluded sea to sound community of Beacon's Reach. It is a wonderful gathering place for family and friends. Many lifetime memories will be made here, and we invite you to join in the fun! Just steps down the private boardwalk from your back door, the beach invites you to stroll, swim, fish and sunbathe. Enjoy morning coffee watching dolphins and shorebirds from your private deck. Here barefoot is best, with sandy toes, and doing nothing is okay. Relax by walking the beach, sunbathing, gathering shells and end the perfect day as you listen to the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep. For the 2015 season we have added a six (6) seat hot tub and new ground level entertainment deck.

This three-level 3,500 square foot home welcomes guests of all ages, it was designed to be a family home so is both kid and adult friendly. The elevator provides easy access for older or handicapped persons and is a blessing when moving in. The large kitchen and eating area have ocean views as does the upstairs master bedroom and spacious family gathering room. There is plenty of space for folks to cook or just hang out at the gorgeous bar and lots of places for children and young adults to play without being underfoot. The family room has a 51' flat screen and all four bedrooms have either a 32' or 46'. There is a roomy outside deck with a large teak dining table and a gas grill. The end of the boardwalk finds you at the oceanside deck and several steps to the quiet beach, where you will find the perfect place to simply enjoy the beauty of the seashore.

If you choose to venture farther than your beach chair you'll discover plenty of activities and attractions on Bogue Banks, all within a few minutes drive. If you head straight east through Pine Knoll Shores, on the eastern tip of the island (about a 10 minute drive) stands Fort Macon, a restored and newly-refurbished pre-Civil War fortress, the most-visited State park in North Carolina. Discover the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, located about two miles down the road in the Roosevelt Natural Area. Driving west, you will encounter the small fishing villages of Salter Path and Indian Beach and at the far western end of the island, the community of Emerald Isle.

Stop your search for a beach house right here!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time staying at this property. From the beginning, the owners were very responsive and accommodating. Upon arrival at the house, we were all just overwhelmed. The pictures simply don't do it justice. The decks are just perfect - from the large outdoor dining table, to the fabulous decking with the hot tub which was our favorite hang out spot. The walk to the beach is lovely and well lit, and the overlook at the end of the walk is just perfect.

The kitchen was very well-stocked, and the beds were comfortable. There are a lot of little details that just make this property a cut above. It is very clean and nicely decorated.

We can't wait for an opportunity to stay here again!

Great week at this beach house.

  • 5 of 5

This is our third year of staying at this beach house which says a lot. It has everything we need. Was glad for the elevator this year because of a hip injury. We come with 2 sets of parents, 2 kids and 2 grandkids. There is plenty of room for all of us and beach and pool within short walk. Lots of restaurants not far, and a nice playground and splash pad for the kids across from Food Lion. We went to Fort Macon which was very impressive and had a great tour guide. Nearby Swansboro and Beaufort are quaint fishing villages with good restaurants. We especially like the Ice House in Swansboro. This year we went to The Island Grill in Atlantic beach but were not impressed and wouldn't go back. We usually go to Amos Mossquitos which we always liked but tried something different this year. Nautical museum in Beaufort is very interesting too.

Would give more stars if possible!!!!

Wonderful family vacation!! Absolutely beautiful home!!! Nice, quiet beach!! Very attentive and accommodating owners!!! We just returned from our week long vacation at this beautiful home, and wished we could have stayed longer..we did make a trip to the Aquarium, but other than that, we spent most of our time on the beach, in the pool or in the hot tub..We would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in a wonderful family vacation..and hope to come back again next summer. I also agree with the previous reviews that the Luttner's were absolutely wonderful to work with and answered ALL my questions in a very prompt, and thorough manner..thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us!!

Amazing Property!

  • 5 of 5

This oceanfront property could not have been more amazing for our family. This was my first experience using HomeAway and Mr. and Mrs. Luttner should train all the other owner's on how to make renters feel secure and at ease with asking questions, getting answers right away, and actually booking a home. They made everything so easy and relaxing and always responded to us timely.

My brother's family (wife, 2 kids ages 5 and 8), my family (husband and one child age 9), my mother and grandmother (age 93!) all stayed last week. Immediately upon entering, we all said, oh we will for sure stay here again! We love that there are two master bedrooms with king beds since we split the cost with my brother/sister-in-law. There is a fantastic kid's room and the elevator for my grandmother allowed her to stay with us the entire week which she has never been able to do before! The sheets on the bed were very nice and obviously NOT from a linen provider. The house was clean and very comfortable. The home had all the amenities including a new hot tub which was a surprise. It was amazing and very relaxing after golfing and wave running days for sore muscles. There are multiple refrigerators, multiple decks, beach chairs, outdoor hose and shower, and on and on. The beach is almost exclusive. We had plenty of room and the fishing was great right in front of the house. The home is in close proximity to lots of great restaurants, the Aquarium, and the Pine Knoll Shores EMS station had a beach wheelchair free of charge! We were able to take my grandma down to the beach using the special wheelchair so she could fish. The house overall was amazing and we will definitely return!

Thanks again, Mr. and Mrs. Luttner for opening up your wonderful home to travelers to make memories that will last a lifetime!

Wonderful beach house. We hope to return!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week at this beach house with our son and his wife and baby and inlaws. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped. We had everything we needed. We brought our own portacrib-but they had one there already plus a baby gate. The beach is wide and beautiful. The location is good too, close to restaurants and grocery store. We had good subs and pizza at Roma's in Atlantic Beach. In New Bern we at ate Captain Ratty's - great from scratch food. We definitely hope to return to this beach house - which is the highest compliment.
