We really enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse! The location was great and it was very close to Seward and a local grocery store. The beds very comfortable but our family spent most of our time outside around the fire.
Best VRBO yet! Amazing cabin and the hosts were fantastic!
The beds were incredibly comfortable and extremely private especially for a bunk house. I absolutely encourage everyone visiting Seward to check this place out!
I stayed here with a group of friends and we loved our stay! It was a cozy, rustic Alaskan experience. The bunk beds were adult sized and super comfy, the kitchenette was small, hence the “ette” name, but provided all we needed, including coffee! We loved the solo stove and covered outdoor seating area. Everything we wanted the host helped with right away! My friends mentioned how cool the place was multiple times!
We had a great time staying at the Oz Lodge while visiting Seward! Our hosts Heather and Tim were super attentive and helpful during our stay. The lodge itself was well equipped with board games and entertainment, and there was a fire pit set up in the front with plenty of firewood to keep it going through the next. We loved our time here, and would definitely come back again!
We loved the many cozy bunks at the lodge, which were way more comfortable than we expected! It is a little ways out of town in a residential area, so not walkable to anything, but has everything a group or large family would need, including kitchen, 2 bathrooms and laundry. We mostly only used it as a crashpad for our Seward adventures, but wish we spent more time there! Definitely quirky and unlike any other place we've stayed before, but a universal family favorite from our trip.
We were so excited to stay at the oz lodge with our 11 person crew ! Matt and friends were so helpful from grabbing our bags from the cruise to setting up a friend to help shuttle us around. It was truly an incredible experience and they helped make our stay in Alaska more memorable!
Thanks for letting us stay and the fresh homemade cookies they were incredible
The bunkhouse is even more adorable in person! There was seven of us in our family group of multiple generations and we each spread out and had our own very cozy bed. The washer and dryer were much appreciated after wet days hiking nearby. The bunkhouse feels secluded and surrounded by nature but is only 10 mins from both Exit Glacier and the boat docks for tours. We absolutely loved our time here, the hosts were friendly and showed us around the bunkhouse, as well as suggested places to eat and always available by text for any questions. I would absolutely stay here again! Side note: get breakfast at The Porthole food truck, it is delicious!
We had the absolute best time staying here. Seventeen of us were in town for a joint bachelor and bachelorette party, and the Bunkhouse was the perfect spot. We had an amazing “summer camp” experience, all staying together. It was a perfect home base for our Seward adventures. It was intimate yet never crowded. And infinitely comfortable. Many of our friends raved about the sheets and blankets. We also rented the chalet next door (just 50 feet away). It had a large table that was able to seat our entire group for a “family” dinner one night. Everything is super well stocked. On top of it all, Heather and Matt were the most responsive hosts, getting back to us quickly every time we had a question.
Wow! I wasn’t expecting a cabin to be this clean and comfortable! We are a family of ten and everyone slept great. We loved getting to be together in one big room so we could enjoy each others company. The bunk beds were comfortable and big enough for adults to enjoy. The cabin is just a ten minute east drive to town. The owners were great with communicating and giving us recommendations for restaurants and hikes. The cabin has one window but otherwise it was nice and dark for bedtime in the peak of summer solstice. The fridge was full size and perfect to store some food so we could make breakfast at the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back someday. Great toilets.
