Top notch!!!

  • 5 of 5

Amazing place and hosts. So nice to have all the accoutrements of home ( paper towels, sandwich bags, movies, pool toys, etc.). Super clean house in a great, quiet neighborhood. Owners came over and asked if there was anything else we needed, great personal touch. Quality bed and sheets. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

A very pleasant, quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown Sheridan and an easy walk to a nearby park. Our early October stay found the lawn white one morning, so swimming pool was not an option. The house is wonderful. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.

Cable tv and wifi entertained us in the evening. The backyard is very small, but enclosed and includes a strip of grass for the dogs. Because of the cool weather we preferred to sit out front in the sun. Two long cables allowed the dogs to safely sit with us. I say safely as we didn't want to see Reggy and Samantha disappear down the street in pursuit of a family of Mule Deer which frequent the neighborhood. Rod and Ellen are right next door if help is needed. A week in a motel room or a house for the same money- a nobrainer!

Highly recommend

Perfect Getaway Cottage! Home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a full week. The cottage was the perfect place for our family. We have traveled from Florida to Alaska staying in many hotels and there is no comparison to this little cottage. My son enjoyed the pool almost everyday. Which made the stay worth more that our child enjoyed it as well. We utilized the kitchen every night and every morning. Which saved us a lot of money on food. The parks, are a walking distance from the cottage and were wonderful. We were able to take a walk every morning to the parks. We saw Bison, Elk, Mule Deer and a Momma Deer and her twin babies while we were walking. We enjoyed the ice cream shop at Kendrick park almost daily. It was a fun treat at a super reasonable price. The Community pool is walking distance and very affordable, they have a slide and a diving board something we don't see much at home. The cottage is close to everything. We were close to downtown Sheridan. Sheridan is a wonderful place to visit.

Great stop along our road trip

  • 5 of 5

The house was a great "break" from the hotels we were staying at along our road trip. We were able to put our feet up for a couple of days and it was nice to be able to get some groceries and make some meals instead of being dependent on restaurants. The kids loved the pool and we grabbed some popcorn to have a family movie night using one of the DVDs on the shelf. Thanks guys!

Very comfy - even during hot days

  • 5 of 5

We came to Sheridan for a family reunion and stayed 4 nights. We're newbies to Home Away and weren't sure what to expect. The weather was in the 80s and the cottage stayed cool until the day before we left when it was 96 degrees at 8 pm. It was the only time we used the A/C. That was also the evening the 4 point Whitetail buck visited us in the yard.

Everything we needed was here and in great shape. Very clean, too. Thank you to the Howell's for making this available. Better than a motel any day! We'll definitely use Home Away again and will look for this house for our next trip to Sheridan.

Close and favorite place to walk to is 2 blocks from the Cottage front door. There our guests can see the live buffalo and elk that live in Sheridan's Kendrick Park (Free of charge)...Beautiful mountain views along the pathway down the hill to the Park playground and ice cream stand (summer months). The other end of the Park has a community pool (seasonal). For people who love to stroll a light mosey past the playground and across the eastern walking bridge will bring the wanderer to the Whitney Commons green space which borders on the YMCA. Now you only need to walk two more blocks and you are on Sheridan's main street....enjoy!!
