Bring your mountain bikes, ATVs or SXS and explore the old Fire Tower at the top of Flagpole Mountain or check out Umbrella Rock. The Guest House is located at the top of Walter's Mule Trail, so you can unload and ride to Green Acres directly from the cabin.
When you're done playing, relax on the porch and watch the clouds form a blanket over Sardis Lake. Our Guest House has high-speed wi-fi via Starlink, so bring your computer if you need to sneak in a video call before you hit the lake!
The Guest House on Flagpole Mountain is situated on a working farm, which includes chickens. One dozen farm-fresh eggs will be provided to guests during each visit, and additional eggs are available for purchase. If you're bringing children, let us know if you would like to meet the chickens or gather the eggs from the nest. Firewood is also available on-site.

The Guest House was just what we needed for a weekend stay. It had everything we needed to stay in the woods and enjoy the view. We look forward to our next trip up Flagpole Rd!
It was secluded and peaceful. I loved sitting outside in the morning and just soaking up the quiet. We also loved the pet visitors that came by, sweet pup and sweet cats.
This guest house was amazing. Super nice and so very comfortable. The hosts have done an amazing job on making this house enjoyable. If you want the quiet of the mountains, but still need a little activity noise, this is the place. Chickens, dogs and a cat made us feel right at home. We would certainly come and stay again!!
The Guest House was great! So cute and clean. Beds were comfortable. This is a great place for a family, with the loft for kids. Loved the animals and the view. So peaceful! Would recommend staying here.
Very Nice Property. Wayyyy Up the mountain curvy bumpy road. It was a rainy weekend for us so good thing we had a 4 wheel drive Subaru. The cabin was super quiet even with all the wind and cold front that came in along with fog!! Very warm also. Kinda hoped for a fire but it was too windy didnt wanna risk anything!!
The Dark Sky Guest House was awesome. The pictures dont do it justice. The fresh eggs were a nice touch and the cat came and hung out with us by the fire. Just a word of advice plan on getting food or anything else you need in town before you head up the mountain. Over all had awesome time. There were plenty of things to do, board games provided, go to the fire lookout, and even some disc golf.
Nice kitchen with full size fridge/ freezer, large microwave over stovetop and oven. Heat/air worked fine. Large comfy bed. Two closets. Blinds and nice windows. Peaceful. About a twenty minute drive up the mountain from Clayton, Ok.
We had a great time at the Guest house! My uncle and two cousins slept comfortably with the ability to take nice warm showers. We own some hunting land about a half mile from the location. We plan on coming back many times over. My over all experience was fantastic. There are some very friendly animals and chickens that will come and say hello!( one cat and one dog)
We had such a relaxing adventure while we were there. The hosts were so very helpful. My only advice do not use Google maps to get to the location. I want to stay here every year!!!
Cozy and clean property with one-bedroom and separate sleeping loft (for kids). Kitchen was adequately furnished for preparation of simple meals. Bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the bath. Weather was a little on the warm side so it was nice to have the A/C. Location is 4 miles up a mountain track so it takes about 15 minutes to get to town for shopping. We really appreciated the fresh eggs! The chickens visited the property numerous times - as did the cats and one of the dogs. We love visitors!!
My family and I enjoyed this place. We stayed further down the road last year and with the big sign helped finding it with ease. The location is beautiful and check in and check out was super easy. Really enjoyed the fresh eggs that was provided! The kids were invited to feed the chickens and that was the talk of the day.
My son and I really enjoyed our stay at the Guest House on Flagpole Mountain. We drove up from Dallas to drive the Talimena Scenic Byway and hike some trails. The dozen farm fresh eggs were delicious. The owner/manager was very helpful. I would definitely stay at the Guest House again.
This guest house was AWESOME! It is really beautiful and perfect. Inside the fridge the property owners left us some eggs that the chickens from the property had laid. There were chickens outside to greet us and even a friendly dog named Jenny. The property owners are amazing! They were very hospitable and they treated us so well. Mike took us up the mountain on his side-by-side to see Fire Tower and Mushroom Rock. He mentioned that they will soon offer renting out the side-by-side and it is worth the rental for the mountainous landscape there. I highly recommend that you stay at this guest house if you want an unforgettable experience!
Above our expectations. All the comforts of home in a beautiful space. Love that they collect rain water being the nature lovers we are.
Host very nice and accommodating. Delighted to receive fresh eggs from their chickens. They are working on new structures to expand their business.
My son and I were seeking an adventure in a cabin in the woods and boy did we get it. The drive up flagpole mountain really set the tone for the beauty and isolation you experience. From the moment we booked out communication with the owners was fantastic, they were so hospitable. The tiny home itself is deceptively spacious. That king bed is very comfortable and my son mentioned his twin bed upstairs in the loft was very comfortable as well, and for an 11 year boy to notice it must be cozy. Everything was very clean and it really felt like home. We were greeted by the sweetest dogs and cats as we roamed the grounds and enjoyed the views and the peace and serenity. We are looking forward to returning as we go explore more of Robbers Cave State Park and the entire area, there is so much to enjoy if you love the outdoors.
First guest staying here and recommended and at a great price on flagpole mountain with beautiful views the tiny cabin was amazing and comfortable nice shower and beds kids loved how comfortable the loft beds was they didn't wanna get up we enjoyed the fire pit at night we loved the fresh free eggs not store brought the drive up the mountain is a rocky dirt road so it can take some time but if pulling any trailer you will want a 4x4 truck I pulled my boat to fish the lake but i regret it cause pulling a boat up an down the road is a pain I’ve should’ve brought my SxS I could of just unloaded and not worry about going up and down the mountain and enjoyed the trails and flagpole road I will be coming back here to stay for sure
