About Jean Johnston
This beautiful area was the inspiration for my artist/sculptor husband. It also was the perfect place to rear our 3 children. My days almost always begin with a walk on our 2+ miles of uncrowded beach. Now that our children are grown I have time to pursue my passion, going to gem shows and creating jewelry from my unique finds.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
This home is set back from the highway and located on 3 acres surrounded by pasture land. Follow the paved driveway around to the back of the house and you will find a 1 car garage, a ramp to the back door for easy access and plenty of parking for your cars, boat or RV. You will also find a secluded yard with a BBQ and comfortable chairs for relaxing. Watch for deer, herds of elk and covies of quail. You can also enjoy a variety of colorful birds that come to the feeders. (Bird food provided.) In late August the blackberry vines are hanging with juicy berries. They make delicious cobblers. Bring jars if you like to make jam.

Great family time and enjoyable location.
Very comfortable home. Good space for extended family . Easy access to beach.
The upstairs is the place to be, when not on the beach.
Although the house is dated and could use a good cleaning for cobwebs, it had everything we needed. The kids were even able to make Smores upstairs. Which is where we spent a great deal of time. The owner took good care of us and we would definitely return.
Clean home, steps from the beach, large private yard
We enjoyed the stay and may rent again sometime
Great place for old friends to spend time together.
We are a group that gets together every summer somewhere interesting each summer. We enjoyed the redwoods and access to the ocean for the past two years. Thank you for making your vacation home available!
Jean, thank you for allowing my family to stay in your wonderfully relaxing home. I stayed with my 2 adult children and my 3 grandchildren. Jean stopped by to introduce herself and find out if we need anything. A very gracious lady. The kitchen was fully furnished. We did bring coffee, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels toilet paper. But Jean had already supplied these items. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towels. The Great Room upstairs was a peaceful place to have your morning coffee and evening drink, looking at the ocean. Thank you Jean.
Loved our stay very clean centrally located beautiful view something for everyone ,already planning our next stay
