Had a lovely weekend stay with a big group! Hosts were incredibly responsive and the house was truly fantastic. Even with a cold winter stay, we enjoyed the hot tub, mountain views, and the movie room immensely. Absolutely recommend for large group getaways!

It is exactly how it is described. The host is great at communicating and super responsive. The pool and hot tub were great. The scenery was beautiful. It is very private and peaceful.There are no delivery services, grocery, or gas near by (all 20 minutes or more away). Come stocked and ready to go!As a heads up, you may lose service about 20 minutes away. GPS still worked for everyone. The turn onto the driveway appears 0.3ish miles before your GPS has it marked. The owner does a good job of labeling the driveway with a sign and a picture of the house. Just pay attention. The driveway is a gravel road (a little steep in some places) that my two wheel drive did not appreciate, but everyone made it up okay! The drive down is easier than the drive up!

Seculded Getaway

We loved the remote location with a view. The house is large and luxurious and has great spaces for relaxing. Outdoor seating, hot tub and fire pit were awesome.

Check in was a super easy, got the code and got right in. All instructions were clear and useful. The house and property are absolutely gorgeous! The pool and hot tub are amazing! The host allowed us to have our wedding with our close family and friends there to witness! It was absolutely incredible! 5/5 definitely recommend! Our only complaint is that the pool steps are extremely slippery. I’m not even sure anything could be done to fix it but I would definitely warn other guests. Thank you so much!

Great property

The property was great. They also had ton of magna tiles that our toddlers enjoyed. Way to the lodge was bit difficult especially in dark so don’t miss the small sign board with the picture of the lodge on blues gap road!!

A grand view and a grand time!

The Grandview Lodge is a beautiful place where quality and thoughtfulness is apparent in every detail both small and large. The accommodations were comfortable, plentiful, spacious and there were no shortcuts taken in the design of this spectacular home. My girlfriends and I loved every minute of our experience, even on rainy days, and this will definitely be a place we return to!

Beautiful home!

The house was elegant and perfect! It fit 3 families of 5 and one happy grandma. The view was breathtaking. It’s a bit out of the way, so come fully prepared and stocked (closest grocery is 27 minutes away), but worth it.

Amazing Family Getaway!

This place is exactly as described. Owners have put a lot of thought into the decor and amenities. We felt cozy, at home upon arrival and really enjoyed our pre-Christmas weekend getaway. House is large and our group of 17 had plenty of space. Hot tub was an added bonus for the cold evening/nights. With being from out of town and not used to back roads, the driveway was a bit daunting with the steepness but we had good weather so no issues. Will definitely be booking again for future trips!

Named Perfectly for the View - or Serenity on the Mountain

Thankfully arrived before sunset so I could take in the view that was breath taking. The house has everything you need for a family gathering. My adult children and grand children arrived for the wedding of a sibling, and everyone had their own beds. There were more beds in fun places than expected that made the kids giggle. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the hibachi grill outside was perfect for pancakes on Saturday morning. From the fire pit to the hot tub, we couldn't have enjoyed the stay more.

Even better than advertised!

We are frequent renters of large homes on VRBO, and after one stay this has quickly become one of our favorites. The home is *beautiful* with amazing views, high ceilings, and great interior space. The game rooms downstairs were great fun for the kids, as was the hot tub on the deck. The kitchen had everything that our friends who love to cook needed, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were all well stocked with towels, shampoo, etc. Be prepared for the fact that this house is 30-45 minutes from anything (such as gas stations) but to us that was part of the charm! We hope to be back!

THE ACCOMODATIONS WERE EXCEPTIONAL AND IMMACULATE INSIDE. THE ONLY NEGATIVES IS THAT THE STORES WERE NOT CONVENIENT AND IN CASE OF EMERGENCY THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION IF NEEDED AS FAR WHO TO CONTACT .

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious property; it was nothing short of a dream come true. Nestled in a secluded and remote location, the property offered a much-needed escape from the busy traffic of Northern Virginia. The serenity and tranquility of the place were only heightened by the amazing views that surrounded us. Each morning, we were greeted with a picturesque sunrise and the stunning views of the valleys. The interior of the home was tastefully decorated, exuding a cozy yet luxurious vibe. The attention to detail was apparent in every corner, making our stay exceedingly comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean and well-maintained, which were a testament to the high standards of this property. Stay away, untrustworthy

A day after receiving confirmation of the rental, the owner said he double booked the property through his management company and told me cancel my reservation to get a refund. His description said no refunds and VRBO confirmed that I should not cancel it and that he could give me a refund. He refused on repeated requests to give me a refund. I escalated the matter and only received a refund days later after threatening legal action to both.

However at that time we were in the midst of switching from a management company to self managing Grandview and the same eve you requested a booking someone else booked the same dates on another platform first. We were very disappointed to need to inform you to cancel your booking . From the beginning our desire was to give you a full refund but while working with Verbo to do that there was a misunderstanding and it took two days till you received your refund. We are so sorry for how that made you feel Kelly! Our hearts desire is to give our guests a five star experience and we hope sometime we can host you and give you a positive experience! Again, we are very sorry you had to go through this.

Just Brilliant

Mindblowing!!! This property definitely deserves a detailed review. This is not a paid review. A true honest one by someone who has been blown away by the experience. Surroundings- set on a hill with nothing but nature around and fantastic surrounding views. Early mornings/evenings and lush greenery are a delight to the eyes. Interiors- One must give credit to the owners for their artistic taste and planning. They made sure they ticked all the boxes right. Right from the furniture, to the bedroom planning, everything was brilliant. The aesthetic appeal is amazing. The furniture and living room were elegant. The ambient lighting was techy and suave. Exteriors- The deck was very well planned giving the view of the entire backyard. The sofas and jacuzzi beside are perfect for a good time with friends. The backyard is perfect for some good outdoor games. Entertainment- The quotient is so high. They have a beautiful home theater room with super comfortable power recliners, high resolution projector, a good quality sound system and ROKU. The ambient lighting just sets the mood right. Not exaggerating, I spent 6-8 hrs enjoying this. Games - The pool table and foos ball table gave us a great timepass. We had fun. Space- It is everywhere. Living room, bedrooms, basement, outdoors. Spacious is the essence here. To enhance space, there is no compromise on the amenities at all. Restrooms- Very well maintained restrooms with handy perfect supplies. One restroom is high tech with latest technology. Side showers with a digital operating board was great. Kitchen- Has all the accessories. New ovens and microwaves. Big stove tops. Granite countertops. Large utensils. You name it they have it. Rooms - There are many. Huge and spacious. Nice interconnecting attached bathrooms. Repeat visit - If you have been here once, you would definitely long to comeback again. This place is a magnet. Man! I m already missing this place hours after coming back from there
