This house sits in a secluded area with trees and fields in view. Quiet and charming. My Grandkids enjoyed the firepit each evening and having Smores. I will definitely be back on our next family vacation.

We met the host at the property for check in. She was a pleasure to talk with and she showed us around her beautiful house. You can tell there was alot of thought into the property and thinking about what guest might need. Everything was immaculately clean. My family enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back. The view, the outdoor pavilion, grill all the things we were excited about. I can not say enough about Stephanie. She was the best. She has put alot of thought and time into the property and it shows. The best communication I have had with a host.

This property was the perfect place to relax and unwind after an event that we were attending at nearby Fort Loudoun. It was clean, well-furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely responsive and welcoming. Some travelers may want to know that while there are two bedrooms on the second floor, all of the bathrooms are on the first. That arrangement was not any difficulty for us but it may be a consideration for some. I won’t hesitate to stay here again if I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing property! Honestly, I want to live there! Kitchen and living room was perfect for hosting guests during my daughter's wedding weekend. Tje Parnell House was awesome.

Amazing Home

Perfect Home and Location

We stayed with granddaughters. We chose this location as it was close to Flight 93 Memorial and Gettysburg. The home was as advertised and beautiful. We didnt want for anything!

We attended a wedding at the Golfish barn this past weekend and the Parnell Hideaway was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed all the extra touches that made it feel like home. Stephanie was a great host and her communications were timely and helpful. She was very responsiveness if we had any questions and work to ensure we had a nice stay. The house was one of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve stayed in and the decor and details were wonderful. She truly thought of a lot of little ways to make people feel at home. The property is also very spacious for a big family and I loved that we were all able to come together in the family room and kitchen area. It’s a little bit of a drive from Chambersburg and there isn’t a whole lot nearby which is my only negative comment but it was an easy drive.

Awesome Stay

The Parnell Hideaway was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices and plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Stephanie was a great host with a lot of tips and included a detailed guide for the home. She also provided a S'mores Kit for a great time at the firepit. The home was warm and cozy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Property

The Parnell Hideaway nestled in the woods of south central Pennsylvania and is surrounded by trees, mountains and farmland. St. Thomas is a small town (around 6,000 people) and an easy drive to Mercersburg (7 miles), Chambersburg (10 miles), Greencastle (12 miles), Shippensburg (22 miles) and Gettysburg (30 miles).
