Time Square

The location of the hotel was great. Walking distance to Time Square, Central Park, and Pier 83 (river cruise.) Room was neat and clean. The bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work. There is not an ice machine on the 10th floor. We would stay at The Gallivant again.

Nice stay for the price.

It was in the heart of where everything is we really enjoyed our stay here. I felt the housekeeping staff was a bit too much though. They round at 8am to start house keeping services and you can hear them as they knock on EVERY. SINGLE. DOOR. The room was pretty basic, no fridge or mw, just the bed and the TV. Bathroom was tight. Otherwise the stay was good.

Great Location

The location is great. The room is sufficient, nothing fancy, the bathroom is tiny. Cleaning staff on our floor, was amazing. The elevators are crap, we walked 12 flights multiple times a day because the elevators were not working. Although I received a lot of emails, not one contained the address of this location, (just a map) or even the name of the hotel. I had to look through old reviews to find the name. Overall this was a 3.5 for those reasons. Would I stay again, I don't know.

Wanted to stay near Times Square for our weekend plans. This hotel well located in a good area. The hotel itself is not great. The rooms are dated, need repairs. We had hot weather and the a/c hardly functioned. The thermostat on the wall didn’t work. It was reported twice to the front desk with no action, follow up or repair. WiFi was sparce.
