Our first-floor flat is less than a mile from downtown, US Bank Stadium, the Convention Center, and Uptown, making it the ideal central location for your group.

This first-floor flat has been recently renovated and features gorgeous original woodwork, 4 bedrooms, a formal dining room, a large living room, a full bathroom and a small powder room off one of the bedrooms, and an updated kitchen with new appliances and fully stocked with everything you need to cook your meals.

You will have access to the living room, 4 queen bedrooms, a bathroom/shower, many closets, and a large kitchen. There is ample street parking and driveway parking.

We stayed here to go to a concert at the Loft and have our family Christmas since we were all together. The space was exactly what we were looking for. It accommodated our family and was close enough to where we needed to go. The area was maybe sketchy if you have never stayed downtown, but we found it to feel pretty safe. I read about people hearing sirens but it wasn't any different than any other places I stayed. Very comfortable and clean.

Clean, cozy, spacious!

This property had everything myself and a small group of adults needed for a short stay in Minneapolis. The rooms were warm, we had ample towels and washcloths, locks worked as expected, and everything was clean and tidy. I would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed for two nights for a concert. It’s a great location in terms with proximity downtown and being able to get to Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Gopher games.The house is very nice and well-maintained, with individual locks on bedrooms should you need it. The parking is directly off the main street and there was no issue.The proximity to downtown places you in a neighbourhood that not everyone would be comfortable staying in. There are a number of people that hang around on the sidewalks a block or two away, but they never were an issue to my family. If I was staying for a long period of time with a young family I might reconsider the location.

The place was just as described in the listing. The neighborhood may not be for some people, but it's listed with that description. Lots of things close. Could really use another couch in the living room, and maybe some updated cookware.

Potentially high risk neighborhood

The property is clean, the interior spartan, and the amenities sufficient. The property is in a potentially high risk neighborhood, and possibly unsuitable for some travelers. Be aware of your visibility, vehicle and belongings. Despite paying for the reservation, I chose to not stay at the property. The owner graciously offered a partial refund to resolve the issue. Thank you for this consideration.

The property (inside) was very comfortable. However, the neighborhood and neighbors directly across the street were SCARY! Each morning we woke up and left the house with beer bottles scatter, tampons on the ground, etc. We were scared both coming and going from the property to our cars. A lot of people milling around, yelling/screaming at each other, dropping F bombs, etc. On our last day, there were multiple mattresses tossed on the edge of the street (on a Sunday morning). That night there were many police sirens and a great deal of activity. I would speculate that the property across the street is a hub of gang and/or drug activity. Cars coming and going and very scary people! The interior of the property was wonderful, comfortable, clean, and tasteful. However, I WILL NOT stay here again due to the scary neighborhood and concern for personal safety and the safety of our vehicles. This is not the fault of the property owner but rather a failure of the city and the lack of support for police to do what is necessary! It is sad to see great homes and neighborhoods being adversely impacted by poor decisions of leaders.

Why they chose this property

We are within less than a mile and within walking distance to US Bank Stadium, downtown Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children's Hospital, HCMC, and the Convention Center. We are just a couple miles from the center of the University of Minnesota, Uptown, Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, and Lake Nokomis. We love good food, so we can also point you in the direction of local eating hot spots. We appreciate its diversity and vibrancy and how centrally located it is to the entire metro!!

Because we are in the heart of the city, we get to experience people from broad cultural and economic backgrounds in a densely populated area. Our neighborhood, Ventura Village, is a part of the most diverse neighborhood in the entire country with over 100 languages spoken here! There are restaurants, healthcare buildings, old Victorian homes, apartment buildings, and non-profit organizations. We consider it a privilege to live here, but it being in the heart of the city is not for everyone. During your stay, you may encounter lingering people panhandling. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, we may not be the place for you. Obviously, you will want to exercise "street smarts" as you would in any major metropolitan area. If you are looking for a quieter stay in the Twin Cities, you may prefer looking outside of our neighborhood. But we hope you won't. :)
