Cosy guest room with private guest bathroom

We can offer a room for 1 or 2 people. You have the choice between 2 single beds or a double bed. The room is on the first floor, the private bathroom is on the ground level.

If you wish to order breakfast, this can be ordered extra for 85 SEK per person per day. Breakfast includes home made bread and jams. I cater gladly for special dietary needs.
Should you wish to cater yourself for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you are welcome to use the kitchen (providing you clean up after your meal).

A convenience store is 700 meters away, open all days from 8AM to 10PM.

Guest Access

All beds come with sheets and bedding. Towels are provided to all guests. Hair dryer available.
Guest bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower. We have our own bathroom, so the guest bathroom will be yours during your stay.

Free wifi for all guests.
Free water, coffee and tea.

In the room we have a selection of maps and tourist brochures in multiple languages for you to consult.


Interaction with Guests

Need some help getting around in Umeå? Want to know what is worthwhile to see? Want to chill over a cup of coffee or tea? We are here to help make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
We aim to be present during your stay and serve breakfast, as well as be available in case you have any questions.
We respect each guests individuality and respect that you might not be interested in long conversations.
We speak English, Swedish, Dutch, French and some German.

The Neighbourhood

The house and surrounding buildings are all strictly non-smoking.
The outer yard provides a playground for children, in a car-free environment.
Summertime, you can enjoy the sun on our patio. Wintertime, you can go cross-country skiing at the tracks, on just 5 minutes walking distance.

Our house is in a quiet neighbourhood at the outskirts of town, yet with excellent access to public transportation. The city centre is only 15 min away by bus, car or bike.

We live just on a 2 minute drive from the E4 motor way, so perfect if you are just passing through.

We live close by from lake Nydala and there are also nice walking paths in the forest on just 2 min walking distance.

We can recommend visiting the moose farm Älgens Hus in Bjurholm (70 km drive), going for a walk by the stream just 10 min away and maybe catch some fish. Enjoy the purity of Swedish nature while enjoying your stay with us.

Getting around

Public transport is well organised in Umeå. A bus stop is just 300 m away. During rush hour you can catch a bus every 5 minutes to town, hospital or university.
Should you come by car, we can provide access to a parking spot with engine heater.
Should you come by plane, you can catch the airport coach, and switch to a local bus to get to our house.
