The house is just as advertised and has plenty of space. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We'd definitely stay here again.

Nice location, nice accommodations. Enjoyed the time. There were a LOT of gnats flying around.....a lot. Maybe because there was a lot of trash left outside from previous guests?
Great stay in this contemporary Montrose home. The location is perfect for visiting the many shops and restaurants in the area. The pool takes center stage! And even though it was too cold to dive in, it makes a very pleasant view from the living room. And it was warm enough in the daytime to sit outside by the pool. The home has a well stocked kitchen with plenty of cookware and utensils to cook a meal. Even has a pantry with basics like spices and aluminum foil. We especially enjoyed the collection of vinyl, mostly from the 70's (our era) and spent some time listening to some of the great classics. Overall, this home was great for our 3 day visit to Houston.
This was a neat place. The vibe was super cool—decorated with original photographs from previous owner/photographer and an awesome vinyl collection. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/spices, which was helpful to our group who spent one evening grilling and chilling by pool. The decor was original and the beds were super comfy. It was a central location to NRG stadium and some restaurants we tried in the heights. There were a few small things—house is aged a little, so the decking in the back was a little soft with all the rain and a previous guest had made a hole, and the check-in was a little difficult. Luckily the host responded right away to messages so that helped with getting in! The unit next door and across the street were pretty run down, but there are other homes around that are well-kept. Having one bathroom was not ideal, but we made it work! Overall, I would stay here again, especially if I did have kids with me because of the loft area and the extra twin bed in one of the rooms.
The interior was a designers dream/the space was beautiful/modern and matched the listing photos. The property was spacious enough to accommodate a party of 5, despite only having 1 shower, but I would exercise caution if you wanted to host a party 5. I did not arrive until 0130h/it was a good thing-bc I would have left as soon as I arrived. Dilapidated is an accurate description of the exterior—which is crazy bc had I not walked in—I would not have experienced the gorgeous interior. The contrast btwn the interior/exterior almost seems like a deterrent to prevent burglarization when vacant. The pool was in no condition for swimming d/t the large amt of debris bc the pump was broken. I notified the owners/WE were instructed to add water for 2h to get the pump to work. The pump never started working. I booked the listing for pool access/nvr had a chance to swim in 95d heat. Gnats/Roaches. The downstairs area was full of gnats—I set up 4 vivo traps (20/unit)/DIY gnat traps to keep gnats to a bearable level/prevent them from flying in our food/faces. During our stay-we also encountered two large cockroaches that emerged during the night from the kitchen. They were huge—so there is NOT an infestation, so they may have come from around the sink or dishwasher plumbing. There is a comfortable couch downstairs—but with cockroaches emerging at night—be wary about sleeping downstairs.FUN was had—but I wouldn’t rebook/would only cautiously recommend.
Our stay was disappointing & frustrating due to poor maintenance & cleanliness issues. Upon arrival, exterior appeared abandoned—overgrown weeds, scattered trash & a walkway blocked by a fallen rain gutter that we had to move ourselves. The interior was superficially acceptable, but closer inspection revealed dirty dishes & someone else's fake fingernail on the couch. Water stains on walls indicated roof leaks.Immediately encountered a smoke/carbon monoxide detector chirping non-stop. The owners instructed us to buy batteries ourselves, promising reimbursement but never providing it. Despite purchasing multiple batteries and making several attempts, the chirping persisted, forcing us to unplug the detector completely, which we notified them about. Owners offered no apology or follow-up.The advertised pool was dirty & visibly cracked upon arrival. Overgrown landscaping & weeds everywhere. A cleaning the next day improved it briefly, but after just 30 minutes of use, dirt resurfaced through cracks, raising concerns about chemical safety & usability. The patio area had significantly rotted wood; parts were unsafe to walk on—partial repairs showed owners were aware but chose incomplete fixes.Overall, poor upkeep, lack of responsiveness, & disregard for guest safety made our experience unsatisfactory. Property falls short of VRBO standards; do not recommend.
