About this property

SUPER CLEAN Luxury home w/hot tub & steam shower. Walk to town & regional park!


Our beautiful home is in the new upscale Winter Creek development. You've come to the right place if you are looking for a very clean, luxury home! The home is fully furnished with all new comfortable contemporary furniture. Looking out into a forest setting (other Winter Creek homes have neighbors behind them!). The large deck has a 6 person hot tub and lots of space to stretch out. Our gourmet kitchen is well stocked with every large and small appliance you'll need -- condiments too!

The driveway is flat and the streets around are well maintained, easy to come and go even in the snow!

ON THE ENTRY LEVEL:

The large open-spaced entry level, which includes living room with a gas fireplace, dining room and kitchen, has 24 foot high ceilings with a fantastic view of the majestic pine trees. The deck and hot tub are just off the living room. There is lots of privacy, we don't have any neighbors behind us!

The leather sofa and chairs create an intimate gathering space around the gas fireplace. The sofa is a queen sleeper with a good mattress.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything a gourmet chef may want! The dining table will easily seat 10-12, come relax, dine and enjoy this wonderful home! It's perfect for 2 families, 3-4 couples or a group of friends!

The large Master Bedroom on the entry level, has a king bed, walk-in closet, 2 sink master bath with a sunken tub and a shower with a Mr. Steam. The steam shower will go up to 120 degrees and offers a fantastic way to unwind after a day of skiing or hiking!


UPSTAIRS:
Besides the full bathroom with tub/shower, there are 2 bedrooms and a loft:

Bedroom 2 - The 'bunk room' has 2 sets of bunk beds, one with two twins and the other with a twin over a double. The kids will have a blast in here!

Bedroom 3 - Queen bed

Loft - is divided into two areas, one side has a cozy large couch and a large flat screen TV the other side has room for kids to play games or sprawl out in sleeping bags or you may choose to use our inflatable queen bed.

We have lots of board games to play.

All mattresses, linens, and towels are new and included.

THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE!! WE DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES! ALSO, WE HAVE A NO SHOES POLICY IN THE HOUSE.


LOCATION:

The location is fantastic:
- In Winter Creek - just off Old Brockway, near the 7-11
- 15 minute walk, 3 minute drive to Historic Downtown Truckee
- 9 minute drive to Northstar, 5 miles
- 23 minute drive to Squaw Valley, 12.7 miles
- 21 minutes drive to Sugar Bowl Ski Area, 12 miles
- 17 minutes drive to Kings Beach, Lake Tahoe, 11.4 miles
- 35 minutes drive to Reno, 32.8 miles
- Within 1.5 miles are both the train station and the Truckee-Tahoe Airport

We are walking distance (less than a mile) from great restaurants, parks, coffee places, shopping...(see map below)

Great stay!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. It's in a great location, close to Truckee and also not far from Palisades. The house was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed using the hot tub after a day of skiing. Would stay here again!

We made the trip to this home for a summer vacation. It was perfect location, easy walk into downtown. Check in and communication with owners was simple and easy, and we aleays received a quick response whenever we had a question. The home felt bigger than we expected with our larger group.

Love the personal hot tub. Somewhat walkable to Main Street truckee, but is very walkable to several restaurants. Great access to palisades and sugar bowl. Very responsive host. Steam shower is great! Would stay again!

Prime location.

The location was perfect for our family. Close the ski resorts and restaurants so we were able to avoid the traffic. The house has a nice layout for a family. The loft area was great for the kids to hang out in, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Very happy to have full access to the garage which easily accommodated all our gear. The host was gracious and easy to communicate with- checkin was a breeze. Would definitely book again!!

Wonderful and updated cabin near town

We had a great stay with the listing photos and description being an accurate representation of the property. Close to town, waking distance to the regional park / walking trails and a brewery. The cabin itself was nicely appointed with bathrooms having been recently remodeled and the hot tub on the back deck was a huge plus. Well laid out cabin that fit our group nicely. It snowed quite a bit during our stay and the road/driveway was cleared quickly. Amy was a wonderful host and quick to respond on any questions. We would love to stay again!

Truckee by Train

Cozy home, close to town. Ubers/Lyfts are nearly impossible to get. Luckily, someone told us about TART, a local free transportation service.

Great location and well appointed property.

My wife and two children enjoyed President's Weekend here. You cannot beat the location to Truckee and Northstar. The house is as advertised. Enjoyed the hot tub, master bedroom steam shower, and as the cook of the family - I appreciated a panoply of pots, pans, dishes, and most importantly extra spices / ancillary ingredients i.e. ketchup, mustard, etc. / and other ingredients that are left from previous renters. We look forward to renting this property again in the summer.

Great stay for 6 adults

Our party of 6 adults (2 couples and 2 singles) had a great stay at Amy's house for our north Tahoe long weekend. Amy was a great host, very communicative and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked, including basic supplies like vegetable oil and spices, such that we had no problem making simple meals for breakfast and dinner. The house was also well stocked with extra towels, bedding, bathroom supplies, etc. The house had plenty of space for everyone to hang out together or spend time apart. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Great place and location

We had a wonderful time in Truckee. Location is great. Had a couple issues, but able to overlook. We didn’t have entrance code and it took about an hour to reach owner. Not a huge deal. Bed broke, but was easy to fix. We followed directions, but got charged an extra cleaning fee. Not sure still what wasn’t clean. I still give it 5 stars though as place was great.

Sibling Getaway

My sisters and I do a getaway every summer. We picked this cabin in Truckee, which he we have never been . The cabin was very clean, very well managed and fit all our needs. We relaxed on the deck, made use of the hot tub, and made a nice dinner/ grilled one night. The cabin is fully stocked with bedding, kitchen items, beach towels, all the essentials. I had to contact the property owner upon arrival, who was pleasant and quick to respond. She also recommended some great food spots, which we took advantage of. The cabin is located just minutes from restaurants and shops which was quite nice. We also spent a day at Donner State Park which was beautiful. Thank you Amy for your hospitality !

We had a family vacation for a long weekend in June 2024. The house was fine over all, but has a very short driveway for a full size truck. In the add it states "The sofa is a queen sleeper with a good mattress." Well it was bad you could feel every spring in the mattress, which made for 3 nights of uncomfortable sleeping for a older family member that could not climb the stairs, to get a bedroom. The other beds where great, and the house was clean.

Great location, well stocked

Had a great ski vacation stay. The house comfortably fit 4 adults and 3 children. We appreciated the hot tub and the steam shower, and the layout is nice and open. Lots of towels and linens provided, as well as a gas fireplace that does a great job warming the house. The beds were very comfortable. The owner is very responsive and handled a kitchen sink leak quickly. The location is great for walking into downtown Truckee (~15 minutes), as well as the river trail that's just a few minutes walking from the house. Flat driveway and 2-car garage were much appreciated, especially since snow accumulated while we were there. We didn't mind that there's no TV in the living room, but this might not be the place for you if you prefer that (there's a TV in the sitting area upstairs).

Lovely Weekend Home

Everything was lovely! Easy to access, beautiful furnishings, and plenty of room! The only thing short of making it perfect? We could not figure out the Wi-Fi. We called the owners but they couldn't figure it out either. We probably would've struggled with it more, but I didn't want to waste anymore of our precious weekend. (Sidebar: I was perfectly happy without it, but my guests were very disappointed). The downtown Truckee area was too cute! The Safeway nearby couldn't seem to keep food on the shelves! So if you plan to cook while you're up here, stop by somewhere in Sacramento first! Overall, the experience was lovely, and if they can figure out the Wi-Fi situation, I will return for sure!

Lovely Place

My wife and I with our 2 little ones had a wonderful time here. We had arrived about an hour early due to the stormy snow. We contacted Amy to see if it was possible to check in early. Amy was very quick to respond and was able to check us in Asap! Thank you so much! The place was very warm and cozy and Very Very clean. I can not stress that enough. Also had a beautiful view to the mountains. Definitely recommend!!!

We enjoy spending time with family and friends in this beautiful and comfortable home! Truckee is our quick get-away from our life in the Bay Area and we love how relaxing it is! We are avid skiers and snow enthusiasts but also enjoy all the wonders of nature, the gorgeous lakes and exciting activities that summer in Truckee offers!

Why they chose this property

This development is fantastic! New homes, friendly neighbors and easy access to the ski areas, to Lake Tahoe and to Donner Lake. Even in snow storms the roads all around us are flat and cleared! It's a short 15 minute walk to quaint downtown Truckee with outstanding restaurants and shops. There is a bus to Northstar just a 5 minute walk from our home!
Winter Creek has its own playground, a 2 minute walk from our home. The Truckee Regional Park enjoys a playground, skateboard park, frisbee golf, golf, summer concerts (Wednesday nights), rodeo, carnival and a farmer's market, ice skating rink (winter) and it's only a 5 minute walk away! You can also access a great walking/jogging trail along the Truckee River from the park. The town of Truckee booms with excitement every Thursday evening during the summer with a weekly street fair, and throughout the year there are many great festivals and fairs.

What makes this property unique

Everything you want is close by - skiing, hiking, swimming, shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, bars. If you want the nightlife Reno has to offer, it's only 30 minutes away!

But often we don't even want to go out.... the house is so comfortable, with a hot tub and steam shower you can have your own spa day right at home! The kitchen is well stocked, you'll love cooking together! Or cozy up on the loft and watch TV or movies! We have 2 TV's, one in the loft (upstairs) and one in the master bedroom.
