Wonderful getaway home

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the Moonstone House. Very convenient location to town and the slopes but still far enough away to feel like a cabin getaway. Everything was ready and waiting when we arrived, and the house itself is wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a cozy, convenient place to stay in Breck

Great family vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

This home worked well for our family trip this winter. We had a set of grandparents, parents and 3 children and there was room to spare. The kids especially loved playing in the large back yard when they weren't on the slopes! Everything was as described and although some might call it dated in décor, that wasn't a problem for us as we have small children so we weren't looking for fancy and instead found it homey. Check in and out was super easy and everything was clean. I think it mentions somewhere if it snows, you may need a 4WD vehicle to make it up to the house. One night, we went into town for dinner while it was snowing and by the time we came back, we couldn't get up the hill in the car. However, we just circled around and came in the "back way" via Boreas pass which has a less steep grade. So unless there's major snow, I don't think this is a problem and they do plow the road - I hope that helps make rental car decisions. I do recommend a car, as although there is a shuttle stop somewhat nearby, it's at the bottom of the hill and there isn't a sidewalk for most of it. However, it's a max 5 minute car ride to anywhere in town so the location is great and the views, if you decide to come in via the Boreas Pass, are amazing!

Owner's Response: Thank you Melisa. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. And you are right on with your furniture comment - we always want to be family comfortable and "homey". This is more than a vacation rental for us - it's our home away from home. Clean and comfortable is the standard we appreciate.

A great, quiet spot for our family.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful experience at his house. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The highlight was definitely large backyard, which still had quite a bit of snow. Our kids spent many hours sledding, throwing snowballs, and having a good time. The location is very convenient to Main Street but felt secluded and quiet. We will gladly stay here again.

The property was beautiful. We were glad to have room enough for six couples.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time and the house was all we expected. There was a large back yard with plenty of things for kids. The two car garage was great as well. We were only disappointed in the wifi as it was intermittent and slow. We would all go back again.

Owner's Response: Thank you Dyana! I appreciate your taking the time to send in a review. And I will keep working with Comcast to see what WiFi improvements they can offer. We have installed the best/fasted service they have to offer in the neighborhood. Safe travels, Scott
