I loved my stay at the A-Frame. It felt secluded from the rest of the cabins and my dog felt right at home. It was truly a beautiful experience and I can't wait to come back!

What a beautiful place! Alla and Garrett are amazing hosts! They have done a beautiful job creating a genuinely wonderful experience! Amenities are not a strong suit, but you gain so much more with the nature of this location. Private cabins in remote Montana, pure natural beauty at its finest!
This cute little A-frame is a great step up from camping while still giving you the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. It's the perfect place to stay if you're looking to get away from town, unplug, and spend time in nature. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the surrounding scenery. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, cozy nature retreat. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful!

About the host
Hosted by Alla Ponomareva and Garrett Hohn
We're Garrett and Alla Hohn and we're excited to host you at the Hohnstead, our self-built piece of Montana haven. All 5 of our cabins are self built, unique and off-the-grid, helping you to reconnect to Nature and to each other. We love working out, traveling abroad, brewing (beer for Garrett, Kombucha for Alla), gardening, and anything that supports an eco-friendly, simple living lifestyle. If this is your vibe, we wanna be friends :)
What makes this property unique
We went from bare land in 2010 to working on it 2 months at a time (on our vacations from our jobs abroad). In 2022, we were finally able to quit our jobs, and made The Hohnstead Glamping Cabins Resort our full time seasonal job. Proudest part - we only paid out for a concrete slab in the Commons Area, but everything else on this property was built with our own two hands.
