This upper level unit has higher ceilings throughout, allowing a more open, brighter environment. This location allows easy access to all Southern California attractions: Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Legoland, and Sea World are just a short freeway drive away. Los Angeles attractions to the north are about 1 hour away. This location is about 1.5 miles to the beach and features a great walking path that winds along the Monarch Golf Course under Pacific Coast Highway and ends at the Ritz Carlton. Great communicative and responsive host. My family loved the comfort, space and convenient location of these accommodations. Pool and hot tub on site and so close to the beach, a nice stroll away. We’ll definitely stay again :)
We had a great stay at this property. The unit was very clean, spacious, and well maintained, and it truly had everything we needed to be comfortable during our time in the area.The location is excellent, making it easy to get around while still feeling tucked away and peaceful. We especially appreciated the 24/7 guarded gate, which added an extra layer of security and peace of mind throughout our stay.Overall, this was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, secure, and well-located property.
We had a great time in this lovely home. It is well appointed and since it is on the second floor, it’s very quiet. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, towels and beach towels/equipment. It was also great to have a washer/dryer in the unit. Although we didn’t walk the trail to the beach, it is conveniently located to the nearby beaches and Dana Point shops and restaurants.
I had a wonderful stay at the Monarch Beach condo in Laguna Niguel. Carla was great to work with and everything was wonderful upon arrival. Instructions were clear and easy to navigate. The area where the condo is located is wonderful close to shopping, beaches, restaurants, and very easy to get around. There is a lovely pool and clubhouse on property as well as two additional hot tubs and a patio area where you can see the sunset over the Pacific. The neighborhood was very quiet and people were friendlly. The condo is clean and well appointed and had a lovely balcony and a full size in-house washer and dryer, which was great I would highly recommend a stay at this property.

Followed up to get more specifics as this was the first time I've heard this. I have a few small items to fix (garbage disposal) and it all could have been done so I wish guests would tell me during their stay.
We had a very good stay, and enjoyed the condo, complex and location very much, we had a lot of space and good quality furniture and amenities and loved Dana Point and surroundings.
We had a very relaxing stay and will definitely return when we are in the area!
Have stayed in this complex twice now. It is very quiet and perfectly located near the beaches and many restaurants. This particular condo is nice because it is in the top level which in this building configuration is on the 2 nd floor instead of on tthe 3 rd floor. The other condo we stayed in was also on the 2nd floor but had another level above. This one is nice because you don’t have the noise from people above you. The condo is clean and well appointed. The owner is very nice and responsive. We had one issue with the parking pass not having the correct dates, but Carla fixed it quickly. We enjoyed our stay very much. I highly recommend this condo unit.

Pleasant stay in this comfy condo
we stayed at this condo from 5/31/19 to 6/3/2019. The condo is very well equipped with amenities. The kitchen has everything we need such as water filter, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven. There are plenty of towels to use both for the condo and for the beach. I like the high ceiling of this condo. The beds here are very comfortable; I did not wake up with any back pain. There are two TVs in the condo, one in the living room and the other in the master bedroom. I like to unwind watching the TV before going to bed. We have no issue while staying there as the manager, Carla, has prep us with a lot of things that we need to know. The condo has cable and Netflex which provide a lot of entertainments other than going to the beach. The swimming pool and club house are just around the corner. All in all, it has been a pleasant experience staying in this comfy condo.

Better than the Ritz!
A most comfortable 10 days stay for our Disneyland trip to Southern California. The location is perfect for both Disneyland and Legoland. You can take the HOV lane and avoid traffic. Also after all the madness of the theme parks, it is your own sanctuary in this home away from home. Everything is provided, the kitchen is well stock, the living room is spacious and comfortable for our family of four. Did I mention the bed! Our own bed now pales in comparison. I am still dreaming about this bed now that I’m home. It is better than the 6 stars hotels and the Westin Heavenly Bed. Trust me I know, we travel the world and stayed in our fair share of 5-6 star hotels, St. Regis, Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons etc. This bed and oh the shower, the water pressure is so good and relaxing. There is even a big screen TV in both the living room and the master bedroom with full cable channels and Netflix. The amenities around this condo is so convenient, Dana Point restaurants, supermarkets, even a Costco! The downside is that we wanted to stay in this condo instead of going out to explore the attractions. We can’t wait to return to this 6 star condo!
Requesting full refund! Construction occurred during entire visit
Our house flooded so we stayed in the VRBO out of necessity. There was a full model and reconstruction on three of the units below our condo during the entire visit. The noise level was extreme and the construction was absolutely horrible during our visit. I had to have hip replacement surgery, so I was unable to rest and relax with the noise and construction chaos. The property manager knew about the construction as well as the HOA. I spoke to several owners of the other units and they did not have permits nor did they have the clearance for mold. My 17-year-old daughter was sick during our entire one-month stay and I had to take her to urgent care. And she had terrible cough symptoms, respiratory issues, sore throat,. It was not a typical cold, and had to be put on a breathing device because of the conditions of the Vrbo. I have diagnosis and paperwork to support my claim. Additionally, I slept in the master bedroom and had strange bug bites completely covering my torso. I don’t know if there was bedbugs or not. I changed and washed and sanitized the sheets three times and it did not help. This unit should not have been represented by Vrbo nor should it have been rented at all. The construction is extreme and the day we checked out, December 4, Workers were coming in to re-pipe the entire unit. I have pictures and documentation to support my claim, and I am insisting on a full refund. This was a horrible experience for myself and my family.

Its always a surprise and disappointing to see a review like this when you have so many positive texts and messages from the guest that suggest she had a great experience overall at the condo. Is she looking for a full refund after staying one month and asking if the unit was available longer? Her last text said and I quote “thank you for accommodating us and please tell the owners thank you”. I did offer the guest 2 free days because the one true fact she stated was that there was construction in the building at a different unit. She asked me to call the HOA and see how long the construction would be going on as she was recovering from hip surgery. I did not know they were doing a remodel on the unit below as I don’t own that unit or manage it. The HOA stated the nosiy work would be a few days. Thus, I offered her a few days free for her inconvenience. Separately, this community has approved a total repiping project for every unit to be proactive against broken pipes and slab leaks. Our repiping was planed for December (after this guest moved out) so I think she was confused about the reason behind the repiping and thought it had to do with a problem in our condo. It was strictly a proactive measure by the HOA to avoid future leaks. Upon move in, this guest told me she came out of an Airbnb rental that had mold and made her sick and she was trying to get her money back so there appears to be a pattern with renting and looking for reasons for a refund. She made a claim to VRBO’s health and safety department which they dismissed immediately. Given their dismissal of her inaccurate claims, I would have expected them to not allow this review to be posted. The good news is that the remodel in the building is complete and our repiping project is finished. The other buildings in the Monarch Hills community will be going through this repiping throughout the beginning of 2024.

Two Star Property in a Four Star Location
I've rented properties all over the US and several countries for nearly 20 years. I maintain a five-star guest rating on all rental sites. I treat rentals like my own home. I have stayed at the well-located Ritz Pointe complex a few times, but this was my first stay- and last - in this unit. My list of cleanliness grievances is long. I am a person who likes a tidy environment and who expects, when paying thousands of dollars to stay for a month, a higher standard of care and for it to include a much more impressive array of supplies (ie no kleenex, limited trash bags, no foil/baggies). The night I arrived, I had to run out to buy a battery for a beeping smoke detector. A supply should be in a drawer. The bathroom vent had an ungodly collection of thick black mold coming out of every vent opening. The ceiling fan on the vaulted ceiling above my bed was covered with thick dust that had accumulated for so long that it was clinging in globs all around the blade edges. No sane person would turn that on. In a room with a white duvet, you'd think that would be cleaned with each cleaning. I asked in advance about a blender because I make daily smoothies. When I located it and got ready to use it, I was greeted by slimy wet mold all over the inner parts. Ditto when I opened drawers to find measuring cups covered with mildew. I did ask for - and receive a new blender and a set of measuring cups/spoons. They were left at the door by the leasing agent who did not bother to let me know she had arrived (I was there) and so I could show her in person the photos I had sent. Most owners/agents bend over backwards to make sure they are available to guests. I was told I was unreasonable. I was promised the cleaning people would return the following day. I waited two hours for them. This is not a cleaning person problem. It is a lack of conscientiousness on the part of the leasing company to not check the place thoroughly and really oversee what needs to be done to keep a place in rentable condition. That means you do periodic deeper cleaning and check under furniture, under couch cushions, in drawers. Some former reviews posted about the lack of support in the couch. I was promised the cushions would be replaced. Not true. Carpets are screaming to be cleaned. Kitchen contents average at best. One pro. I was at least able to sleep because the master bed was comfortable. And I asked for and did receive my cleaning fee back. 4 star location; 2 star unit.

While some of this guests concerns (blender, cleaning top of ceiling fan) were addressed right away, she was never going to be happy with any resolution. She was a constant complainer, couldn't use the pool card when there was nothing wrong with it, and just generally a demanding and unhappy person. I would not want to rent to her again.
We just finished our two month stay and hated to leave! The condo is ideally located in the community of Ritz Pointe, close to countless activities, restaurants, the harbor and the bustle of the metro areas. We found the community at Ritz Pointe safe, clean and friendly from the gate entrance to the maintenance staff. The condo is directly adjacent to the pool, spa, and gym which makes it great for lounging by the pool and evening soaks in the hot tub. Inside, the condo is spacious and open. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. As long term renters, we expect that there may be needs for maintenance, just like we have in our own home. Carla and her team were quick to respond with any questions and to provide assistance we needed during our stay. Dana Point and Rizt Pointe were amazing! We’re already planning our stay for next winter!!

I don’t usually leave reviews but I can say we are picky and this place was exactly how described. The owner was courteous, organized and kind. Would wholeheartedly recommend this condo—great location in a nice area.
Accurate reflection of the write up and photos. It could do with a couple of upgrades. The sofa facing the wall TV unit in the living room is sagging. It’s been well used and most uncomfortable. The bathrooms too look old and could do with an upgrade. A walk in shower in one bathroom could help a great deal. Otherwise, a terrific place!
Stayed one month. Felt like home. 20 minute walk to the beach. Orangetheory, excellent sushi restaurant and cool coffee shop about a 10 minute walk. Heard neighbors in the middle of the night banging around a few times but for the most part very quiet
