Esta hermosa casa de lago ha sido un favorito de la familia por muchos años. Cherokee ha sido renovado y actualizado para una perfecta moderna casa del lago sensación. Esta casa dormirá 12 cómodamente. Cuenta con 3 habitaciones, más un altillo y un sofá plegable en el sótano, sala de juegos, 3 baños completos, 2 medios baños, amplio plano de planta abierto, techo abovedado. Cherokee tiene una cocina luminosa grande muy agradable, mucho espacio en el mostrador y todas las comodidades que necesitas para cocinar. Hay un Keurig, así que trae tus sabores favoritos. La casa también cuenta con un bonito y luminoso combo de sala / comedor con TV de pantalla plana en el segundo nivel, televisión por cable, DVD, acogedora chimenea de leña para disfrutar en los meses de invierno, terrazas para disfrutar de los hermosos amaneceres o sentarse y relajarse. El cielo estrellado. Otras comodidades incluyen una parrilla de gas, agradable y acogedor jacuzzi cubierto, sótano terminado con mesa de ping pong y juegos de mesa. Hay una hermosa vista de Eagle Creek y un lindo incendio que se remonta a las fogatas de campamento para hacer las compras de su familia. No hay estacionamiento para botes en esta propiedad. There are four floors to this property. You enter the property from the driveway into the three bedroom floor with two full baths. The master has French doors opening to a full deck with chairs. A flight and half down from that is the games room where the washer and dryer are and access to the hot tub which is large and hot and relaxing. Two flights up from the bedroom floor is the living space. The living room has a great view with a wall of windows. The kitchen is nice with regular stove, fridge with ice maker, regular and Kerug coffee pots and a pantry. There are no food stuff in the Home so bring everything you need including foil and plastic wrap and storage bowls. There is enough cooking utensils and a nice gas grill outside the kitchen area. The living area has a half bath. Up one and a half flights is the loft with two twin over full beds and a full bath. The home is comfortable and a little rustic like. We enjoyed our stay.

We do not recommend booking this property. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory due to several concerns. Upon arrival, we were met with an unpleasant odor as soon as we opened the door. The living room rug had multiple large stains, and the bedding "appeared" to have been previously used. There were crumbs on the kitchen countertops, and the kitchen floor was so sticky that it was uncomfortable to walk on.The overall cleanliness of the property did not meet our expectations, prompting us to thoroughly clean the bathrooms, kitchen, and dining area ourselves before feeling comfortable using them. Accessing the property was also somewhat challenging, adding to our discomfort.Given these issues, we do not plan to stay at this property again.

The pictures posted do not represent the home as we found it. The good: layout, kitchen, loft, fireplace, location. The bad: hot tub (no filter, water was disgusting, cover bracket broken), two sliding doors to outside decks did not work, carpets dirty, pool table (bumpers were shot/warped, balls different sizes, missing balls), general cleanliness poor.Due to the hot tub and door issues alone, I feel we should be due a refund of some amount. We cleaned the large coffee table in the living room because it was sticky and had food particles stuck to it. After I used the hot tub, I had to take TWO showers to get rid of the smell on my body. The doors are security issues that need to be addressed immediately. I propped a mop in the upper level door to provide some kind of security.Previous review posts were answered with something like, "we wish you notified us about the issues so we could address them". The issues we had should have never been experienced by us. They should have been fixed BEFORE we arrived.

Holiday Celebration

Unable to utilize basement with the pool table and ping pong table, because of the broken window covered with a blanket and was too chilly to be in the room. Hot tub was I inviting and not used. Needed to be cleaned Size of the house was nice for our group

Weekend away

I only stayed one night because the door’s deadbolt to the master bedroom was not working. Only the knob would lock. There were also two pit bulls next door and the owner didn’t have them on leashes. I have a small dog and one of them started to run to us barking.

Wonderful Getaway for Family

The rental was great for our family of 6 plus grandma. Lots of space to spread out and plenty to entertain everyone. We had a great time!

Nice Cabin but maintenance could be improved

Cabin was nice. Maintenance on this property could be improved. We reported several things that needed to fixed/maintenanced. They were not done during our stay. The maintenance man came over, but did not repair anything. The directions provided by the office got us completely lost. GPS finally got us there. The road was blocked by a downed tree. Called the office and they said they would contact the county. Since it was a holiday weekend, we had to chop up the tree and clear the road ourselves. Road is very narrow and winding to get up to the cabin.

Meet in the middle vacation

House was very nice and clean. Beds were comfortable and clean. View was spectacular and we all had a great time. Parking was limited and there was no back yard for kids to play. But the house was large and the play room was fun for them. Over all we loved it!

Fishing tour

The property was perfect fro a group of kayak anglers visiting the area to fish the World Championships. Only a short drive from the lake made for easy launches and the house was perfect to relax in after a day on the water.

Beautiful Spot

We loved the cabin itself, beautiful with great amenities. Things I wish I had noted more carefully before arriving were that, although that it is close to the water, this is definitely not a waterfront property and you cannot expect to easily to access the lake. Also, the neighbors are all in very close proximity and we could easily see/hear others near us. Finally, the road to this property is very steep and windy. We drive a Dually truck and some of the switchbacks required 3 point turns.

Lovely, Quiet Retreat

We had a lovely long weekend here. No problems at all! Lots of space for our family to come together from three different states. Lots of stairs but we loved all the deck space. Quiet and private with a lovely view of the lake and woods.

Nice Overall, Needs a little TLC

Our stay at Cherokee Hideaway was good for the most part but not without issues. We were able to find it pretty easy using Apple maps but they also provided good directions as well. It was ready for check at 3pm as described. We had 2 SUVs and the parking was big enough for both. Unfortunately as soon as we arrived I did a walk around and noticed there was a leak from the 1st floor down to the basement. We arrived on a Sunday so i called the maintenance number and they asked if I could help diagnose the issue and it seemed to be isolated to one bathroom. So we decided he could come in the morning and we would not use that bathroom that night. He came the next day but after trying a few things it still was not quite fixed. So he had to come back again another day. We were out most of the time he was there so it wasn't a huge inconvenience but it made the stay a little less enjoyable especially considering we had a couple staying down in the basement. Speaking of that, the "sofa sleeper" in the basement is a foam cushion fold out couch and is very low to the floor. They were young and made it work but it was also pretty cold down there compared to the rest of the cabin and we ended up getting them a space heater. Just a heads up if you plan on anyone staying down there in the winter. The rooms on the other floors were as advertised and pretty nice overall. The kitchen had newer appliances and fully stocked with everything you would need which made our stay for Thanksgiving go a bit smoother. Plenty room for 11 of us to spread out as well. The porches were really nice and some of our guests really enjoyed the hot tub. The pool table bumpers are no longer useful and the seams from the slate pieces affected the ball. We brought darts for the dart board but they wouldn't work on the board thats in there and there weren't any there to use either. The firepit area outside was nice with plenty stumps to sit on. Not sure if they can do anything about the windows in the living area but they seem cloudy which kind of spoiled the view from inside. There was plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed eating at Twisted Oaks which is only minutes away. We made a trip to Nashville, hiked at Burgess Falls, and took a tour at Cumberland Caverns. My family's favorite was Harmony Lane Farm and Creamery. Again, we enjoyed our stay overall and they did address the plumbing issues while we were there. A little TLC and this place would more than worth the cost.

Less than expected.

For being a premier host and highly rated for cleanliness, we were less than impressed. Mold on shower curtains... carpet needed cleaned... great views obscured by dirty windows... game room had no darts for dartboard and pool table had no bounce off of bumpers... most every wall and some ceilings need paint... called ahead of time and asked about road going in and felt mislead... had there been rain or snow some of inclines would not have been manageable without 4wd on the single lane road. Positives: Kitchen was best/newest room of house. Beds were comfortable. Views from decks were beautiful. Despite nearby houses, it was usually quiet and peaceful.

amazing get away

we live near nashville and work from home having the option to vacate our normal lives for a few days without driving far was a plus and then how beautiful it all was touched us all!! best break we have had in a while!!!

House was clean and ready to use. Some of the most comfortable beds I’ve experienced from a rental!

Check in was a breeze and we had no issues with any of the process. House was very clean and super comfortable beds. The 4 levels of the home really makes it feel like you have more than 3 bedrooms! The basement and loft can be used as separate bedrooms. The water got really hot so be careful there! Be aware that the road the house is on is not boat friendly. Take your boat to the marina before heading to the house!

Lots of room!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas early with family. The house has plenty of bedrooms and baths. The kitchen was great and fully stocked. It’s a true lake chalet feel with a beautiful view. Everything is updated and beds are very comfortable.

Lovely Getaway

The stars aligned and I had a rare weekend available to take a mini vacation so chose this one! The house was fantastic and the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s very private even with other cabins around and it felt like our own little world. Everything was super clean and we didn’t have any issues! Would definitely rent again! Thank you!

Quick weekend getaway!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was great. I would recommend owners have some flashlights and or candles in the home as we lost electricity for about an hour and it was getting dark. Also DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR GPS DIRECTIONS!!! ESPECIALLY IF IT TRIES TO TAKE YOU DOWN WILDWOOD RD/ALPINE DR! IT IS AN ATV TRAIL NOT A ROAD AND THERE IS NO TURN AROUND!
