We loved our time at Fiddlehead cabin! The location was great, nice and close to the park and hikes we wanted to do. The cabin itself was very clean and felt super cozy! The sauna was amazing as well! The peace and quiet at the location was exactly what we were looking for.
The cabin was amazing and very quiet. Fully stocked with anything youd need towels, kitchen gadgets, etc. The sauna was great. The hiking trails were great too.
It was a perfect quiet place to relax for a few days and enjoy the peace and quiet with no distractions. We would love to come back again sometime.

Fantastic
This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.
We came to the area for hiking at the Riding Mountain National Park. Fiddlehead was a perfect match for us away from the crowds. Thank you Cathy and Linda!
Everything we hoped for and more the boost was great and the cabin was perfect for us. The sauna was great. Even snowshoes so we could play in the snow. An amazing time
This was just the place we had been imagining. It was so cozy and warm and wonderful. A whimsical paradise. Cathy was so amazing and everything was just perfect. Plus, the sauna. We couldn’t have asked for a better place.
We had a wonderful stay at this rustic cabin! It had that cozy, authentic feel that made us instantly relax and enjoy being tucked away in nature. The host was welcoming and provided clear, detailed instructions for everything, which made our trip stress-free. The location was remote enough to feel private and peaceful, yet close enough to explore the area. The views were stunning, and we especially loved unwinding in the sauna—it was such a treat.Like any cabin adventure, there were a couple of little quirks here and there, but nothing we couldn’t roll with. We figured things out easily and it actually added to the charm of the stay. Overall, it was the perfect place for rest and relaxation, and we would happily return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable getaway!
Very peaceful with a wonderful view of a gorgeous meadow:). The only sounds were the hummingbirds! The resident Great Grey Owl made an appearance which was amazing! Very nice host, with good communication. If you’re looking to get away from it all, this is the place!
We experienced all 4 seasons within our 4 day stay. For being relatively isolated choices are abundant. We biked, hiked, read, meditated, shopped & enjoyed peaceful beauty. The view & surrounding biodiversity is incredible. All amenities fabulous & excellent working condition. The attention to detail makes one feel cared for & nurtured. No TV is probably the best part. Intimate dinner by candlelight nightly very appreciated. Groomed trails gorgeous!
Our stay was made painless and peaceful thanks to Cathy and all of the work put in to have all our questions answered without having to even ask them. The handbook, along with the notes posted around the property made everything so simple and easy to navigate. The property itself was perfect. The cabin had me smiling from cheek to cheek the whole time I was there. You can appreciate how well it's been maintained and how many stories and memories were made here just as ours were. The privacy is understated. It really is your own closed off getaway. The views are immaculate, the sauna was just right on a brisk winter evening, and the vibe was nothing short of perfect. We went looking to relax and unwind. This little slice of heaven did exactly that, and then some. We will certainly be back!
This cabin is an absolute GEM. The cabin is absolutely darling. It was clean and cozy with gorgeous little attentions to detail at every turn all compiled to make it a place of peace. I absolutely loved the wood and iron work and - THE VIEW. The entire property is soul-nourishing from the meadow, to the woods, to the mythic little cedar sauna under the pines, - looking just like a fairy retreat!
The property was clean, bright, well cared for, and well provisioned. I felt that every little detail had been attended to before I could think to want it, and it left me feeling cared for by the hosts.
This proved certainly to be the case! As soon as I met Cathy at check in it was obvious that this is a labour of love.
It was the perfect retreat for a weekend of escape and rest.
I can't wait to find my way back again soon!
This property is ideal for anyone who wants to get away from it all! Quaint, snug and well located close to Riding Mountain National Park. The whole experience was delightful, despite it being a very bad year for mosquitoes!
